Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said that he will decide on whether to make another bid for the presidency in the next 45 to 60 days.
“I think running for president of the United States is an intensely personal decision. And that’s one that anybody who’s considering it should have the right to make on their own regardless of anybody else’s thoughts on it,” Christine told the Washington Examiner. Christie, who ran for his party’s nomination in 2016, told the Washington Examiner that the Republican Party should have a “robust primary” given the losses the party suffered over the last four years. He noted that former President Trump is “weaker” now than he was leading up to the 2020 election.

45-60 days until a decision. That could work for me. By then I will have made room in my “things I don’t give a sh-t about” basket. That can fit just fine right in there.
Hopefully it won’t end up with Christie saying, “Where did I go right?”
He likes to campaign because of the endless buffet meals.
Translation:
What am I offred?
lol Christie?!?!
LMAO
..
LMAO
Both of his fans are eagerly awaiting his decision.
At this point the only reason for any Republican Retreads to get in the race is personal monetary.
The nomination is Trump’s to lose. A major faux pas or health issue are about the only things that I see standing in his way. A criminal indictment probably wouldn’t cost him the nomination and may actually be a resume enhancer
Whether or not he could win the general election is the big question. He is hated with a burning passion by a large percentage of the American people. Those people have shown that lying, cheating and breaking the law to keep Trump out of office is acceptable in the past and their willing accomplices in the press and media help them get away with it. Overcoming that may not be possible. Overcoming that with ANY Republican may not be possible.
DeSantis is the back up plan. Should something happen to Trump, DeSantis will step up. It would not surprise me if something were being “arranged” to happen to Trump. He has an enormous target on his back and enemies to the left and right, foreign and domestic. Not since JFK has one man amassed a list of people who would like to see him gone this long.
This fat bastard cost us TWO elections:
1) He gave Obama the big bear hug back in 2012 after the hurricane hit NJ. He did it on purpose to get back at Romney for not picking him.
2) He was Trump’s debate advisor in 2020 who encouraged Trump to act like a complete A-hole with Biden in the debate to try to “rattle” Biden. Instead, Trump came off as a 100% A-hole.
We can (rightly) complain about voter fraud, but that debate performance was the difference in the 2020 election, as many female Republicans, who were going to hold their noses and vote for Trump, were repulsed.
And now this fat bastard wants to run? OMG.
45 to 60 pizzas left to go is right.
Two tons of fun.
I’ve learned to ALWAYS scan the thread for that picture...before posting that picture. Lol. Talk about going to the grave with you.
“debate performance was the difference in the 2020 election”
I got some prime FL water front property to sell you.
2020 was stolen, debate or no debate. That is a fact.
that’s 45 to 60 dozen donuts.

I agree that the election was shady, but.....Trump turned off many women with his Chris Christie “get in his fact New Jersey style” debate coaching advice. That debate performance was horrible. Biden did not crack or melt down, and Trump came across as a total A-hole. Rudy Guiliani was also responsible for the debate disaster.
He knows he has no chance winning.
When the moderator is against you it's hard to win. Trump spanked Hillary in that debate. I wonder what Ronna is doing for the debates, probably hoping for some msnbc moderators.
First, there will be a well staged announcement that is heavily covered by the news media, with Christie puffed up with moral preening and full of attacks on Trump. A series of embarrassingly weak and poorly attended campaign events and appearances will soon follow, with Christie increasingly ill tempered.
After stubbornly feeble opinion polls and anemic fundraising, we can hope for -- no expect with certainty -- ugly incidents in which Christie berates reporters and members of the public. Finally, to end the torment, Christie will exit the race in a sour and graceless manner that marks the end of his political career.
Cub political reporters doing "whatever happened to" stories in the glorious second Trump term will have to go to somewhere in Florida -- my guess is the Villages -- to hunt Christie down in retirement by checking bars and restaurants with senior specials and two-for-one early bird deals. As the reporter takes a chair, an affable Christie -- gray, with a beard, and surprisingly thin due to gastric band surgery -- will call a server over to reorder for himself and get the reporter whatever he wants.
A flash of the old Chris Christie will then emerge, as he asks the reporter in a commanding manner: you're going to expense all this, right?
