U.S. officials have released video that shows a Russian Su-27 fighter jet colliding with the propeller of a U.S. MQ-9 reaper drone.
The video was released by the U.S. military's European Command on Thursday, allowing the public to view the widely-reported aerial incident.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin summarized the incident Wednesday in a press conference, saying, "Two Russian jets dumped fuel on an unmanned U.S. MQ-9 aircraft conducting routine operations in international airspace. And one Russian jet intercepted and hit our MQ-9 aircraft, resulting in a crash."
Austin sharply criticized the Russian military for its actions, stating that the Black Sea incident was "a part of a pattern of aggressive and risky and unsafe actions by Russian pilots in international airspace."
Russia has previously denied that the aircraft touched one another, and accused the U.S. of unnecessarily escalating the issue.

I’m not surprised you’d be into gay jokes.
Can’t match that, only 25 years.
So we never stop learning now, do we?
“Something is fishy about this video and where did it originate?”
The Russians probably sent it to us with the caption “Neener, neener, neener.”.
Play stupid games
Win stupid prizes
Blind the sensors
Stall out the UAV's motor
Burn the UAV up.
What is really curious is the similarities to the chinese balloon operations here.
🇷🇺✈️🇺🇸American MQ-9 Reaper UAV found 60 km from Sevastopol at a depth of about 900 m.
According to ForPost, citing a source close to the Russia MoD and familiar with the details of the operation, Russian Navy forces are on duty in the area of the fall of the the MQ-9

Sevastopol, sometimes written Sebastopol, is the largest city in Crimea and a major port on the Black Sea.
the jet made 2 passes?
unnecessary. you can see it was already disabled on the first pass.
So if the Ukrainians are smart, they knew exactly where to launch their next missile strike.
That does it!!!
Nuke the 'illegitimate children'!!!
Were not Russian aircraft in WW II designed to also ram German aircraft? I remember seeing a copy of instructions on how to ram a German plane years ago.
Look at the top of the screen... it is showing that it is looking Northeast..
Was it the WHEEL that appeared to be moving backwards or the LED lights on the structure that did it - like the ‘moving’ lights in a theater marquee.

Did some quick math on wing velocity of the fighter plane that would be needed to damage just ONE prop blade on the MQ9. Think about a spinning cooling air fan and you are going to swipe your hand through the spinning blade path. How fast would your hand need to go to avoid getting hit by a blade?
There are 4 blades, about 6 foot in diameter on the MQ9 drone I have seen in the still pictures posted here on FR. For calculation purposes I assume the prop is spinning at 1000 rev/min ( I think this is slow by the way) and the width of the SU-27 wing is one foot wide.
The wing linear velocity would need to be over 16,000 MPH to hit one prop blade and safely escape the swath path of the spinning prop before hitting a 2nd blade. Let's say that one foot is too wide for the tip of the SU-27 wing. Let's assume it is one inch wide. The speed of the SU-27 now would be reduced to 16000/12 = 1330 MPH !!
I'm not saying we are being lied to, but then again maybe I am.
Guys,
Some years ago a particularly macho Russian pilot dumped fuel on a Japanese exercise near some disputed islands. It became a famous thing in the Russian Air Force. The pilot was transferred out of the Pacific area so Japanese complaints could have a quoted response.
This is a famous thing with the Russians.
If you look at turboprop engine design, you will see numerous compressor stages within. The drone also has its air intake just in front of the prop, as of course it must.
The fuel was intended for the intake. It flooded the compressors and probably caused an instant stop of rotation, which by itself can bend a prop, not to mention contact with the fuel itself could. There is first of all, no way a collision would bend only one blade at 2K RPMs and also would never be risked by that rather good pilot.
He was doing the famous macho thing. This is being overblown.
Maybe their pilots aren't poorly trained, maybe they are incredibly talented to take out just one prop.
As I recall - both but it would only appear that way momentarily - very briefly. An illusion that was quite-short-lived as opposed to viewing the wheel-wagon effect in an old Western movie.
The Ferris wheel was near (a few blocks from) the Titanic attraction (interesting but overpriced for the walk-through - basically you read tidbits about the displays).
Grand staircase (smaller replica) was interesting to see but really didn’t spend that much time on that part.
I don’t know. Continue to “verify before trust” is helpful. Figure out obvious kook media sources is also helpful.
I think key is to not get caught in an echo chamber - only reading sources that agree with us. It’s good to get challenged at times.
What people like Fauci, social media and the MSM goes way beyond what we’ve experienced to to date in our country during peacetime.
