President Ronald Reagan's audacious "evil empire" speech will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Washington, D.C. — 40 years to the day after the president issued a call to spiritual confrontation against communist doctrine and the Soviet Union.
"Reagan brought clarity, moral clarity to the Cold War with the Soviet Union," said Roger Zakheim, Washington director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, told Fox News Digital.
"It’s a lasting legacy speech."
Zakheim’s organization is co-sponsoring a 40th anniversary symposium on March 8 hosted by The Victims of Communism Museum to honor the message of the "evil empire" speech and the man who delivered it.
The group is also memorializing the more than 100 million people killed by communist leaders over the past century, from the purges of Soviet Premier Josef Stalin in the 1930s to Chairman Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution in China in the 1960s and 1970s.

The Deep State in Reagan’s days lambasted Reagan for calling their Mother Russia the “evil empire”. Now the Dims hate Russia because it’s no longer communist.

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.
If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.
If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.
With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.
In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.
Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying RINOs for 2024 elections.

Why is this speech being celebrated in DC? It would be better to celebrate it in Orlando, where Reagan made it. And where I was living at the time.
