CNN has long referred to itself as "the most trusted name in news" and famously launched its "Facts First" campaign during the Trump era, but like many other outlets, that sentiment fell by the wayside when it came to the COVID lab-leak theory.
In recent days, the theory that COVID originated from a lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology has been embraced by FBI Director Christopher Wray and a bombshell report indicated that the U.S. Energy Department believes the virus likely started in the lab, a sentiment expressed by top Trump administration officials nearly from the outset.
But in the early months of the pandemic, then-CNN president Jeff Zucker would not allow his network to chase down the lab-leak story because he believed it was a "Trump talking point," according to a well-placed CNN insider.
"People are slowly waking up from the fog," the insider told Fox News Digital. "It is kind of crazy that we didn't chase it harder."

My local restaurant has two news channels on two large screen TVs. One for Fox, one for CNN. Hardly anyone wants to sit in the CNN section.
It is like the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax. They all knew it was a lie created by Hillary Clinton and with the help of the media, DOJ, Democrat Party and the CIA and the lie was used to if not bring down a President, create a environment where it made it difficult to get anything done.
Fascism is when a government uses private businesses to do what they legally are prohibited from doing. The Democrats are fascist.
Where would our nation (hell the entire world) be if President Trump had been able to secure our Southern border, get peace with North Korea, bring China to their knees so they could not interfere with the rest of the world? Where indeed.
Instead we got a mentally incompetent puppet being control by who knows who for purpose they are not making public. Where are the Journalist now? Lap dogs for the left that is where, shame on all of them.
What did Fox do about it?

Remember, the NY Times covered up the genocidal crimes of Stalin. Also, there was his betrayal of Poland re the secret Ribbentropp-Molotov Treaty which split that country in half by their invasions and started WW2 and the resulting Holocaust against the Jews, Gypsies (aka Setti,Romani, etc.), and other small ethnic people’s.
Stalin deceived American Jews thru the use of CPUSA fronts and publications including the Jewish Cultural Clubs, as well as their propaganda frontman including I. F. Stone.
This indoctrination of some American Jews made sure that they had enough cadre and dupes to continue to influence Jewish liberals, esp. in Hollywood and the media/academia, as well as a handful of rabbis (Steven Wise, Arnold Wolfe?, Abraham Feinglass - who may not have been areal, ordained rabbi, etc.).
Hope this partially addresses this issue from a historical perspective.
