I row 3 or 4 times a week on a Concept 2 rowing machine (which is the standard for on-land rowing machines).

At the Concept 2 website, there is a current list of speed rankings of rowers from around the world (by event).

Though I rank somewhere in the middle for almost every event for men of my age, I rank in the top 5% of women rowers (and these women are elite athletes...and I am not).

At some point these sports sanctioning organizations are going to put an end to this farce of staging women’s sports. In today’s legal climate, there is simply no way to justify segregated sports competitions for men and women.

And most women’s sports suck anyway. There — I said it. Prove me wrong. :-P
