Months of disputes between Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents over how best to try to recover classified documents from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and residence led to a tense showdown near the end of July last year, according to four people familiar with the discussions.
Prosecutors argued that new evidence suggested Trump was knowingly concealing secret documents at his Palm Beach, Fla., home and urged the FBI to conduct a surprise raid at the property. But two senior FBI officials who would be in charge of leading the search resisted the plan as too combative and proposed instead to seek Trump’s permission to search his property, according to the four people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a sensitive investigation.
Prosecutors ultimately prevailed in that dispute, one of several previously unreported clashes in a tense tug of war between two arms of the Justice Department over how aggressively to pursue a criminal investigation of a former president.

Never, ever trust washington posts articles using anonymous sources.
That’s exactly how they drove the Russian collusion hoax, among many other fake news anti-trump articles: “according to people familiar with the discussions.”
The path they took should have been the same no matter who was the former POTUS or VPOTUS. When you pick the appropriate way to deal with it, it should be reproducible and you should stand behind the decision as just.
They are corrupt liars and politically motivated because they took a different path for Trump than say:
Hillary Clinton (helped destroy records and said didn’t mean to break the law)
Barrack Obama (WNL-—doesn’t mean Within normal limits-—it means WE NEVER LOOKED because we are afraid)
Joe Biden—We will just get his own people to search so they can get rid of the incriminating stuff before.
Bill Clinton— Oh....has personal FBI files of political opponents.....gee we are sorry....didn’t mean to find those.....
Schiff for brains, Nancy Pelosi.....we could just go on and on. Trump WAS treated differently from the get go, openly set up, accused of crimes he never did, investigated over false allegations, undermined by the very FBI whose job it is to provide justice by providing INJUSTICE.
The entire FBI is dirty, cutting off the snakes head will only have another dirty FBI head grow back in no time. They need to make an example of Wray, Comey, and those that used law enforcement positions to commit sedition. They need to spend the rest of their lives in Florence Colorado.
Just their image, not the actual organization. It's like giving Hunter Biden a nice shave and having him wear a three piece suit to meet his crack dealer and whores.

Garland in today’s hearing shoved this entirely on the FBI, but then Hawley pushed it back in his face pointing out that the FBI was overruled by Garland himself.
Garland looked the fool his is in today’s hearing.

I heard about this on Hannity or Carlson. Josh Hawley said it was White House’s decision to raid Mar-a-Lago. Good Lord! This is un-Fg-believable!
