HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman remains in the hospital to receive treatment for clinical depression but is staying up to date on Senate business, his communications director Joe Calvello said in a statement Monday.
Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Feb. 15 to receive treatment.
"John is doing well, working with the wonderful doctors, and remains on a path to recovery," Calvello said. "He is visiting with staff and family daily, and his staff are keeping him updated on Senate business and news. Our team is moving full speed ahead and working tirelessly for the people of Pennsylvania. Just last week we opened a new office in Erie and will be opening several more offices in the coming weeks."
"We understand the intense interest in John's status and especially appreciate the flood of well-wishes," Calvello added. "However, as we have said this will be a weeks-long process and while we will be sure to keep folks updated as it progresses, this is all there is to give by way of an update."

They better put a "minder" on Feinstein. If she wanders away she'll never find her way back.
So you start a new job, and the first thing you do is take indefinite medical leave.
How would that work out in the real world?
He’s dead, Jim.
This is what we’ve been told. He had a serious stroke. As a result he has great difficulty in understanding what people say to him. This is alleviated (by how much?) by having speech transcribed onto a teleprompter kind of device. We also knows that he has trouble choosing the rights words when he is speaking—”Good night everyone!” perhaps being the most memorable.
We are now told he is undergoing long-term treatment for depression and that he is ‘keeping up with Senate business’. How is the staff communicating with him? How much does he understand/comprehend what he is being told?
He is not my Senator, but I’d think the people in Pa. would like to know.
Woodrow Wilson was kept in a room away from all reporters after his serious stroke in October 1919 but his wife Edith kept going in and out declaring what he told her as to votes for the House and Senate and important policy decisions he had made and “ she determined which communications and matters of state were important enough to bring to the attention of the bedridden president.”
Fetterman and Joe Biden can depend on their wives to fill that role if necessary.
Aren’t Americans fortunate?
Is the head dead yet?
Boys is the news room got a running bet
Give us dirty laundry”
Jut what we need a bed ridden mentally ill patient keeping up with senate business
My wife started her job the day before my dad when into the hospital for the last time. We were five hours away.
She didn’t go back for about ten days.
Her employers were great.
(I don’t think she took another day off for a loooong time.)
Typical Commucrat Bullshit.

Yep- he needs to make an appearance and not some AI generated video.
Seems weird that his wife grabbed the kids and scrambled the fighters to Canada while her husband is in the hospital and hasn’t been seen for weeks.

Yes. I think legal opinions differ on this, but the most common view appears to be that if Fetterman serves in the senate until Aug 18 then no subsequent special election would be required.
And if he "dies" on Aug 19, I think people should ask serious questions.
As Fetterman himself said, “Gerfluctam yazin porbil, san worple slet!”
Sure Jan.

PROVE HE’S NOT BRAIN DEAD!!!
Suuuuuuuure he is.
If he’s doing well lets see a proof of life video..and why would his wife leave his ass and flee the country if he’s “Doing well”
He was brain dead before he went “To treatment”
"See? He just farted! That's the most intelligent thing he's said in months."
