MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Tuesday that Moscow was suspending its participation in the New START treaty — the last remaining nuclear arms control pact with the United States — sharply upping the ante amid tensions with Washington over the fighting in Ukraine.
Speaking in his state-of-the-nation address, Putin also said that Russia should stand ready to resume nuclear weapons tests if the U.S. does so, a move that would end a global ban on nuclear weapons tests in place since Cold War times.
Explaining his decision to suspend Russia’s obligations under New START, Putin accused the U.S. and its NATO allies of openly declaring the goal of Russia’s defeat in Ukraine.
“They want to inflict a ‘strategic defeat’ on us and try to get to our nuclear facilities at the same time,” he said, declaring his decision to suspend Russia’s participation in the treaty. “In this context, I have to declare today that Russia is suspending its participation in the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Arms.”
New START’s official name is The Treaty between the United States of America and the Russian Federation on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms.

JFK is who got us into the Vietnam war when he sent in 16,000 troops and had Diem killed.
If JFK had lost in 1960 then we would not have gotten the Vietnam war, this immigration that came from the 1965 Immigration Act and his campaign platform of chain migration would not have happened, and the 1960s would have been a normal decade, federal employees would not be unionized, and the homeless would not be filling our streets because of JFK’s Community Mental Health Act.
Many years of his government service were in the military and he coached football and baseball and taught history at the high school level.

I like DeSantis. I like Trump more.
If they’re both running during my state’s primary next year, I’ll vote for Trump.
But that doesn’t mean I hate or even don’t like DeSantis.
I have no need to put him down, twist his words, or assume he’s deep state or RINO.
I do think Trump was absolutely ROBBED and deserves to finish the job he started. He should president, twice, just like Grover Cleveland.
Still, good conservatives should like them both. They’re real and fulfill the conservative government philosophy we all want.
I don’t really see that much difference between either man’s take on Russia or the Ukraine war.

“They distort historical facts and constantly attack our culture, the Russian Orthodox Church, and other traditional religions of our country,” Putin claimed. “Look at what they do with their own peoples: the destruction of the family, cultural and national identity, perversion, and the abuse of children are declared the norm. And priests are forced to bless same-sex marriages.”
“As it became known, the Anglican Church plans to consider the idea of a gender-neutral God … Millions of people in the West understand they are being led to a real spiritual catastrophe,” he claimed.
Prediction: One day China will try to take by force Russia’s rich Asian -Pacific territories and Siberia. Japan and the United States will ally with Russia to prevent China from becoming incredibly powerful. Most of Asia will be involved in the conflict. What Germany was to the 20th century, China will be to the 21st.
