House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has reportedly released thousands of hours of video surveillance tapes from the Jan. 6 Capitol breach to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
McCarthy "has given Fox News' Tucker Carlson exclusive access to 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage from the Jan. 6 riot, McCarthy sources tell me," Mike Allen reported Monday for Axios.
"Carlson TV producers were on Capitol Hill last week to begin digging through the trove, which includes multiple camera angles from all over Capitol grounds," wrote Allen. "Excerpts will begin airing in the coming weeks."
Less than two hours after calling for "national divorce" on Monday, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene followed with a tweet hailing McCarthy's reported release of the previously withheld security video.
"For all of you that doubted we would release the tapes," Greene tweeted with a link to the Allen report. "Here you go!
"I'm very happy to be right again in my support for Kevin McCarthy as our Speaker.
"Americans deserve to see the truth, not a one sided narrative and unfair two tiered justice system."
McCarthy had promised to release the video in a bid to win over conservative holdouts during his fight to become speaker, according to Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Well, you have a lot of people looking it over. Or crowd-source the review, you could get thousands involved. Each one hundred hours to 5 reviewers.

There are people moving intensely for Speaker McCarthy to grant full access more broadly, not just Tucker.
Just yesterday, a crescendo of criticism was descending on McCarthy for saying he wouldn’t fully release the J6 footage citing national security. That was likely garbled by reporters that want us to distrust McCarthy.
Now McCarthy has responded by granting full access to one media figure. I agree that’s not good enough if indeed that’s accurate. Tucker is not 100% trustworthy because he works for Fox and has said and done some things in the past that give conservatives pause. Personally, I think Tucker’s team will do a good job, but other independent media are also needed to work these massive reviews
McCarthy absolutely must grant full access to others. Mike Lindell’s team would be a confidence booster. I hope he will consider it.
I guess we’ll now find out how much juice Carlson has at that network.

Why not just give ammo to the other networks to say “oh he just released them to Fox News.”
If he had released to the alphabets also, they would have the talking points out there BEFORE Tucker’s crew could dig into it!! WE ALL know the drill with the major alphabets!!!
