A major power outage caused by a fire at an electrical substation shut down the Oakland Airport in Northern California Sunday evening.
More than 50,000 customers in the Bay Area were impacted and flights out of the area were halted after a fire broke out at a Pacific Gas and Electric substation around 1pm.
Photos and videos posted on social media show stranded passengers at the airport waiting at their gates and to get through security which was shut down for hours.

Oh yeah, that was very close to where I was.
I lived in Hayward, so my commute on 880 was only between Hesperian and West Winton which wasn’t bad. And when the purple-haired, pierced people had their three day temper tantrum after Trump won that November, I was south of all of that nonsense and unaffected.
All major airports have backup generators, and they are routinely tested. Of course, they may fail or heavily loaded circuits can bring a system back down during an automated change over. ATC and runway lighting usually have their own backup systems.
That’s exactly what he will do.

Yup, we’re sitting here without power, again. No worries, just another rolling blackout (the second in 24 hours). Nothing to see here.

Given my residence out in the country, about the only destination that’s reasonable from that diagram is “Enjoy the Outdoors.” Open my front door and I’m there.
Turns out the idiots who took out the substations here in Graham, WA on Christmas morning did it to facilitate a robbery elsewhere. Couple of tweakers. Ones already been released into rehab. Not saying it’s the same thing here but it’s not always foreign sabotage.
My gut tells me it is part of the WEF plan to ruin everything so we peasants will be grateful for the crumbs they throw us. We will own nothing, and be happy, or else…

When a Moore county NC substation was take out by rifle fire a few weeks back, it took nearly a week to get it repaired.
People in the know here were saying that inventories of substation equipment are at dangerously low levels because we are sending transformers and substation infrastructure to Ukraine.
Have know way of knowing for sure, but would not be surprised if were true.
I think you’re right, and I expect them to get more open about destroying things “for the good of the 🌎” or some other means of enslaving the world. Sounds ridiculous when I read what I just wrote… but here we are.
Well that explains that one. Still there have all of the fires to poultry and egg farms and the wildfires, some as I understand have been deliberately set.
No such thing as coincidence. Not in my book.
