Democrats in the state of New York have introduced a bill to ban children from playing tackle football, arguing that it puts them at undue risk of injury.
Dubbed the John Mackey Youth Football Protection Act in honor of former NFL player John Mackey, a New York native who died of traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in 2011, the bill aims to ban all tackle football for children 12 and under. Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, a Democrat representing the Bronx, has been pushing the bill for ten years and now has a sponsor in the New York State Senate: Democrat Luis Sepulveda.
“While the Super Bowl is an awful lot of fun, it’s not fun when you see young children run around, playing a game that they are hitting their heads, dozens to a hundred times a week – brains that are rapidly developing,” said Benedetto. “Ninety percent of brain development happens up until the age of 12 years old, give or take a year. During this particular time, why are we putting children at risk for injury to their brains?”

What are they afraid of? That the child will get tackled and turn trannie as a result?
Funny how concerned they are about chi,dren getting hurt when it comes to America’s most beloved pastime (well before it sent woke), but yet the left push so drastically for kids to get mutilated and deformed before they can even jdeerstand the ramifications of such a drastic decision to “transition” (ie mutilate themselves so that they can pretend to be another sex)
They expect their government to be activist and bloated - indeed, most of them work for it at some level somewhere. They expect government to spend whatever it wants. They expect to be controlled.

Its 12 and under so HS football in NY will remain, as bad as it is.
Now you know why they did Flag Football for the Pro Bowl, it’s a preview of what the NFL will look like in 10 years.

12 years old seems about the safest age to play tackle football (presuming all players are around the same age). With full grown adults you get way harder hits. And aging past ones prime brings increasing susceptibility to serious injury.
Flag would certainly solve a lot of injury problems......but after viewing a bit of the pro bowl I’ve already decided it’s absolutely unwatchable.
Being a former high school and college coach, the biggest problem I’ve seen with youth football is lack of proper coaching...JMO...
ban it for kids tooo small to really do the damage they are sooo skeeerd of... feh
I think they are concerned that it will keep them wanting to maintain male behavior and NOT turn tranny as they desire.
