On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” White House Senior Adviser and Infrastructure Implementation Coordinator Mitch Landrieu responded to a question on whether President Joe Biden thinks the United States might need to depend on fossil fuels for longer than he desires by stating that Biden believes “we have to get away from depending on fossil fuels” just that it won’t happen in the immediate future.

Co-host Don Lemon asked, “So, what [are] President Biden’s plans with fossil fuels? Is he acknowledging that the U.S. may need to depend on them for longer than he wants?”

Is he acknowledging that the U.S. may need to depend on them for longer than he wants?

As in, we'll depend on them for longer than the nation exists, for hundreds of years after he destroys our nation.

...the President acknowledged last night that we’re not going to get rid of using oil and gas in the immediate future and I think that’s the point that he was trying to make.

The laid-off Keystone Pipeline workers are delighted to hear it.

There is no such thing as a “fossil fuel”. Another crazy, misleading verb. What? There were dinosaurs stacked up to Mars and back for all the crude oil and natural gas that’s been used the past 150 years? What a joke. But, you know, science.

Crude oil and natural gas are renewable products formed in the mantle of the earth. “Fossil fuel”. Pfffft....

Please let all the liberal run states exit from their use of fossil fuels. We will enjoy watching them freeze to death in the dark.

These people have no concept of how energy works to heat a building, to push a truck or car, what conservation of energy is, or how sources of energy work. They think they can pass a law to make something happen that is physically not possible.

Mitch Landrieu, having been Mayor of N.O. when I was working there, is easy to tell when he is lying. It only occurs when he opens his mouth and utters words, or he is writing words upon some medium. If he is not speaking or writing, he doesn’t lie. At least I’ve never spotted those lies when he is silent in voice and the written word. 🤣

The end of “fossil” fuels is the end of food for the peasants.

Win- win.

Beautiful, plentiful, wonderful, natural fuels. Not fossils. And I love them and I don’t like people criticizing them. Natural gas all day long baby!

Run things on methane from fermented excrement. People are keeping chickens more now. Clean out the coop, throw it in the tank with some yeast or whatever, and water, and bottle the fragrant goodness in canisters to power your morning commute. Well, it’s not fossil fuel. Same can be done with dog, cat, goat, horse, lama, cow and donkey poop. Maybe it can even be used for rocket propulsion;D

Energy derived from sun, wind and water have proven unreliable and and in need of large government subsidies to produce. That, and the solar panels and wind mills have a relatively short life.

Energy derived fossil fuels (oil, gas) and nuclear have proven extremely reliable and not required government subsidies to produce. That, and known, available reserves are in the hundreds of years.

Which of these energy sources would an intelligent, sane person choose??
