According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, enrollment in colleges across the nation has decreased by roughly 13%. While many colleges struggle to draw in students, many faith-based universities are seeing a boom in applications, championing the classical curriculum over woke ideologies.
Founder and CEO of the Classic Learning Test (CLT) Jeremy Tate outlined on “Fox & Friends Weekend” Saturday how the classical education is giving many colleges across the U.S. an edge over others.
“If you’re watching this, and you graduated college in the sixties or seventies, then you probably took U.S. history or economics or Western civilization. But those days are long gone. Many colleges now have gone to kind of an al-la-carte model. But there’s a narrow band,” he said, “that schools like the University of Dallas, Franciscan, Benedictine, Hillsdale Grove City College that have maintained and sometimes double down on a traditional core curriculum.”

It seems Hillsdale is getting applications from all those rich kids whose families used to go to Ivy League schools.

That situation disturbs me because this movement sounds a lot like the libs escaping California for Red States. Will the libs bring their polluting mindsets with them or have they reformed and can be trusted not to poison the college attendees’ minds with their BS. Libs destroy everything they touch.
I was thinking the same. Hillsdale interviews applicants. That might be a check on faceless leftists attending. There are a few other things that Hillsdale requires student to do that may scare leftists away.
Having been raised in Hillsdale it is a good little town of mostly conservative people, and they roll up the streets at night time, hard to find even a gas station open. Probably the closet major city is 2 hours away or so depending on what you call a major city. A lot of little towns around Hillsdale.
The damage done by Dewey is massive. The tide may be turning, but it certainly remains to be seen as to whether sentient beings will gravitate toward their natural estate of male/female persons with God-given rights.
Would be nice if some conservative billionaires would buy up some of the small, failing colleges in the country and turn them into new Hillsdale clones. Christian kids need places where they can learn without fear of commies.
Hillsdale has a Shooting Sports Center. Won’t find that at the Ivies. They also begin construction this year on a Graduate School of Classical Education, to produce educators and educational administrators dedicated to western civilization.
Together with their growing program of charter schools, and online free college courses for everyone, Hillsdale is becoming a silent force. Admission is very competitive, but anyone with a high school student looking for a college, should give them a serious look. My daughter graduated from Hillsdale ten years ago now, but she couldn’t have gotten a better education anywhere.
Great to hear a testimonial. I've been intrigued by their mission.
Proud father of a Hillsdale shooting team 4x collegiate national champion (div III), and currently 4th year med student.
Actually some of the ivies do field a shotgun team and many are quite good shots.
