Atlanta Jewish areas targeted by hate group with antisemitic flyers

A hate group that has spread antiseptic flyers across the United States in recent years targeted Jewish neighbourhoods in the Atlanta area on Sunday morning.

According to the StopAntisemitism advocacy organization, the Goyim Defense League (GDL) was behind the flyers, which were found in the Atlanta districts of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs.

Similarly to past flyer drops, the hate literature was placed in plastic baggies and weighed down with small objects to prevent it from blowing away.

“White Supremacist group 'Goyim Defense League' targets Georgia's Jewish suburbs of Dunwoody & Sandy Springs with their latest antisemitic flyer campaign,” StopAntisemitism tweeted.

This interests me partly because I have some personal history in Sandy Springs, and partly because of the absurdity of posting anti-Semitic literature in a Jewish neighborhood. Are they trying to persuade the Jewish residents to hate themselves? Gentile neighbors could either be persuaded or appalled by hate literature, but it seems they are not after a membership drive, but outraged press coverage of their flyer distribution, which reaction would then serve to publicize their cause. As Ardy Johnson would say, "Verry interestink. But stupid."

For a while now in my town people have been reporting that they are finding antisemitic literature in little plastic baggies on their driveways.

My question is with all the Ring, Nest and other security cam hardware people have now that NOBODY has any video of anyone distributing this crap?

I'm calling BS! Like you said, what good is it to drop leaflets in a Jewish neighborhood? This is just to get peoples back bowed up. Republicans vote pro Israel and Dems are antisemitic. To get people exercised, people do this kind of stuff.

For whatever reason, people have gotten the idea that Dems are tolerant and Repubs are Fascist when in fact, it's the other way around. The KKK was invented by Dems and Repubs freed the slaves, but today the Dems always point to Repubs as the problem. Trace this back to the source and you will find Democrat headquarters involved. Maybe it was done just to make Ilan Ohmar look good.

I was raised in Sandy Springs, went to SSHS.
There was never any religious animosity I was aware of.
Of course everything was closed on Sunday in those years.

I have no idea, but the one hatred I have encountered on and off for decades that transcends all others is antisemitism. People sometimes have thought I am Jewish or black because of some of my personal attributes or details. I would not be surprised either way regarding the validity of this incident.

Years ago some muslim lady claimed to have found a nasty note on her windshield in a upper-income suburb near me.

In poor block-letter writing in English it said something like “Go HOMe MusliM”.

Underneath that, in the same pen, there was something written in Arabic that was even and flowing - obviously that portion was written in their native handwriting.

It STILL got played up big on the local TV news as an attack on muslims.

I’ve filled flyers and rocks into to bags to sell Boy Scout mulch. It takes forever…

This nut has money and time on his hands, but throwing flyers onto peoples driveways is not illegal. Giving him attention like this will just encourage him.

The worst thing you can do to these types is to deliberately ignore them and starve their attention seeking. (While keeping an eye on them to make they don’t cross the line into illegal behavior…)
