On Sunday, former Walmart CEO Bill Simon joined "Fox & Friends Weekend" to warn Americans of the detrimental impact corporate layoffs could have on the U.S.'s feeble economy.
"It's crazy right now. We're stuck in this loop of, wage inflation, product inflation, and cost inflation. And it's just that cycle keeps going. And I think, unfortunately, an inevitable byproduct of some of the Fed's moves and as the necessary medicine we have to take to kind of cool things down and get the inflation back under control on some of these layoffs that are coming," Simon explained to co-host Will Cain.

“Who has a stock of food and water? Who paid theirs debts and have zero loans? Who has a generator? Weapons? A stash of money? Etc etc.”
I have tried to prepare for this. Working on the Generator. No stash of $ but do have a stash of silver. Have some stock of food and water (in spite of the Wife). No loans to speak of other than the mortgage.
Weapons? Inquiring minds want to know (about that boat accident).

This is what voting for lawyers turned professional career politicians get ya!
“These are the people whose paycheck was deposited without fail while officials closed people’s businesses or places of employment. “
I don’t recall businesses being closed by government order around here. Schools, yes. Federal government projects, yes. In fact, I went about my life during the pandemic 95% like any other time. No mask except for Dr. office.
Obama is right in the middle of it. He hates America with a passion.
All of this will be ‘resolved’ by a massive war completely resetting the global economic dynamic. EU/America/BRICS reshuffling/realignment. It’s inevitable and we are in the end of the beginning of it.
Agree they got what they invested in it’s isn’t like they didn’t know the karma of TDR comes at a high price for all.
Eff everyone of the maggots
I haven’t seen eggs for 1.49 in forever, maybe early lockdowns at Easter time? Maybe.
I have seen (and purchased) boneless chicken breasts in bulk for $1.99/lb a couple of weeks ago from my local Meijer store (Avon, Indiana). It was actually the week after New Year’s. Only have a few breaths left in the freezer.
I try hard to find things on sale, and stock up when that happens. I have room for 3 dozen eggs at a time in my fridge. I haven’t paid less than $6 a dozen for quite some time. Butter was on sale for $3.50/pound a week ago (Kroger). Bought a bit of that then, too.
It’s tough, but I keep trying to get good deals and make smart purchases. We are surviving, but the budget has been blown to smithereens.
*** I don’t recall businesses being closed by government order around here.***
Not sure where you live, but during lockdowns, any business that wasn’t *essential* was closed down here. State government closed them down, not federal. It was awful!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, now the funders of these criminals are whining
I haven’t seen “wage inflation” not tied to skills/quality improvements in a very long time. Certainly nothing on a par with inflation in gas ‘n’ groceries.
So! The chicken does come before the egg!)
What is this “wage inflation” he speaketh of?
I hath not seen such a creature...

I just looked at it with Google Chrome on Android 11 and received no warning.
You’ve got some plugin or other software making false claims!

Where is “around here”?
Exactly..starting day one with Keystone pipeline and all the hideous green crap. May he rot in hell.
My Brave browser gives a similar warning.
It may have something to do with your hosting service or your webpage app.
I was mistaken; I went back and checked and there was a interval (not long) when “non-essential” businesses were ordered closed by the governor. But everywhere I go (and I’m out every day and was then) stayed open presumably because of food sales, pharmacy, etc. It is true that dining rooms in restaurants were closed.
I have all that and I’m still not prepared. Once your stash is gone, then what?
