It appears the US/NATO has committed about an Armored Brigade Combat Team (this could progress to an entire Armored Division with ~170 tanks) in advanced armored vehicles, APCs, IFVs, tanks, trucks, Hmmves etc. It all NATO spec and interoperable.
First line hardware.
And now a bunch of US civilians are going to tell them, that in addition to assimilating all this new equipment, they are going to completely change their tactics...
Buy popcorn.
However it turns out it's going to be interesting.

Must we continue the absurd pretense that this is a Ukraine/Russia war?

This would involve moving away from battles of attrition towards launching rapid attacks against Russian forces.
That is how they have conducted all of their offensives, charging straight down the muzzles of Russian artillery. Which is why they need all of this new gear.

The Ukrainians won’t be the ones operating this equipment. It’s foolish to think they could train on and integrate it within six months let alone a year. In addition, all that equipment isn’t enough without the coordination of air power. Makes me wonder what the plan really is.

Maneuver warfare in that region is dependent on the season. I’d be surprised if off-road movement were used very much before summer.

It’s a good thing, in this era of drones and satellites, that main battle tanks and all their logistical support equipment can be relocated on the Q.T. quickly. Those Russkies will sure be surprised. /sarc

They already were training with Bradley’s.
Of course the armor is suited for rapid movements. Can they master that? No idea.

I guess we then shouldn’t expect much of the 500,000 newly mobilized Russian troops who are being sent to the front without any training, right?

Neocons in the State Department and Brussels were desperate for a Ukrainian offensive victory before the new year. When it didn't happen, they made this big push for tanks. The tank episode was such bizarre drama. Two weeks ago, Lloyd Austin and Mark Milley publicly said sending M1s to Ukraine was a "bad idea." Now it's a good idea!
To: kiryandil
I wouldnt say that but I will tell you this.
The Russians will start using more of its vacuum munitions and I would NOT want to be in ANY tank when one of those go off near me.
At the least it will disable the tank and more likely it will kill everyone in the tank’s’ by the concussion alone.

31 M1 tanks?
And that’s if they are all working.
They are supposed to charge the Russians with 31 tanks?
They need new advisors. This advice sounds like it’s from the same clowns who got us stuck in Afghanistan.

It will snuff the engine...and with the ventilation of the tank, it will kill everyone in that tank.
The tanks have ventilation which protects against Radiation and Chemical weapons, but does not protect against extreme concussions from the fuel air munitions.
