GROZNY, January 20. /TASS/. The Chechen authorities are negotiating the launch of the production of a light military vehicle at the Chechenavto plant, an official with the government of the Chechen republic told TASS.
The official added that the vehicle will be called the "Jihad Machine" and will subsequently be tested at the Russian University of Special Forces.
"The day before, the Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic, Muslim Khuchiev, and the Minister of Industry and Energy of the region, Adam Khakimov, held a number of working meetings with the leadership of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry. During these meetings, they discussed the launch of production of the Jihad Machine at the production site of Chechenavto LLC and its further testing at the Russian University of Special Forces," the official said.
According to the official, the government of the region is also considering the creation of a large center for the repair and maintenance of military equipment, including armored vehicles, on the territory of the Chechen Republic.
"Given the importance of the railway for logistics, the creation of the center is being considered on the basis of Chechenavto LLC or on the territory of the special economic zone of industrial production type such as Grozny," the official added.
Earlier it was reported that the Chechen authorities plan to create the first automotive cluster in the south of Russia on the basis of the Chechenavto plant in 2023. At the plant they already assemble Lada Granta cars, and in October last year, they launched the assembly of the new Gazelle-Next model in cooperation with the GAZ Group.
Hendrick Racing partners with GM Defense to build these:
- The West is increasing the amount of weapons sent to Ukraine including weapon systems entirely inappropriate for Ukrainian forces;
- The latest US military aid package falls far short of even sustaining Ukrainian operations and covering its losses;
- The package includes Stryker armored personnel carriers, adding yet another type of vehicle that needs a separate logistical line and training program for the APC role;
- The West is not sending this hodgepodge of equipment because it thinks it's the best option but instead because it is the only option.
“Jihad Machine” ... SWEET! ... when can i buy one on amazon?
Jihad-Machine
Sounds like a raghead punk rock group
Can you stop spamming unrelated crap.
If what’s pictured is the new vehicle, then yes it resembles a dune buggy or a jihad hit and run vehicle. There appears to be zero armor, much like the old US military Jeep.
I’ve often wondered if getting rid of the military Jeep was a mistake, as they cost pennies compared to what’s in use today. They are light weight, and can be fast with the right engine and be a good match for that “dune buggy”.
However the more expensive a vehicle is, the greater the contract price is and the greater amount that can be skimmed off as graft.
Agree. Most 3rd worlders just use Toyota pickups with some minor mods. Solid reliability and easy logistics.
I’d be interested to know what engine/trans/axles this buggy is using.
That’s all he does. He’s got a quota to meet or he won’t get paid.
No armor. Good idea!
Jihad-machine meet MaDeuce.
When it comes to necks, it slices, it dices and it now even cuts julienne fries!
Jihad Machine
By Ronco, er, Chechnya!
I remember that series.
With the germanized american halftrack and M7 priest with german crosses.. That, Combat, McHales navy, Hogans Heroes, and They ran the victory at sea series as well. the 60’s where everyone thought that a Jeep should have a scabbard for your garand and a pintle mount for your 50
The tank in the background of the image I posted is a Soviet T-34/85, probably also with German insignia, if they actually used any in the series. The Rat Patrol was loosely based on the British Long Range Desert Group, which is well worth reading about (including their choice of vehicles, which I found rather surprising). It was one of my favorite tv shows when I was a kid, along with Combat and 12 O'Clock High...
;>)
Is there going to be a compass built into the dash to locate the direction of tke Kabba for the 5 call to prayers?
“Looks like a dune buggy.”
Could be the new generation of the Manson Family in that rig.
