With the germanized american halftrack and M7 priest with german crosses...

The tank in the background of the image I posted is a Soviet T-34/85, probably also with German insignia, if they actually used any in the series. The Rat Patrol was loosely based on the British Long Range Desert Group, which is well worth reading about (including their choice of vehicles, which I found rather surprising). It was one of my favorite tv shows when I was a kid, along with Combat and 12 O'Clock High...

What vehicles were used in the Rat Patrol? The German armoured vehicles were actually American Patton tanks, M7 Priest self-propelled guns, and M3 Half-tracks painted in desert sand colors. In the US-filmed episodes, M35 2-1/2 ton cargo trucks replaced the more convincing vehicles used in Spain.

Two of my other favorite shows, also.
