MEXICO CITY — President Biden understated the number of deaths caused by fentanyl Monday when raising the issue with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador — after critics blasted Biden for not paying enough attention to the deadly scourge.
Biden said that fentanyl has killed “100,000” Americans, when official data actually link the potent synthetic opioid to about 196,000 US deaths in 2018-2021 alone.
The toll in 2022 is feared to be even worse than the 71,000 fentanyl deaths in 2021, potentially putting US fatalities over five years close to 300,000 as the drug is increasingly mixed into non-opioid drugs and counterfeit prescriptions.
“Today we’re going to discuss how we can further deepen [our] relationship, not only with Mexico but the Western Hemisphere. This includes… our shared security, including our joint action to address the plague of fentanyl, which has killed 100,000 Americans so far,” Biden said during a meeting with López Obrador at Mexico’s National Palace.

Since Biden has knowingly and willingly facilitated the import of those drugs into the U.S., he is responsible for every fentanyl death. If Republicans didn’t suck at politics they would highlight this.

I wonder how many people have been driven to drink because of this disaster criminal president? The man doesn’t make it any easier for this patriot (me) to stay sober. Just sayin. I personally know a mother of a dead 21 year old son that died from Fentanyl OD in 2021. She wrote/sent a personal letter to the White House Attn:Joe Biden and squarely blamed him and his disaster border policies for the death of her son. It is utterly mind numbing the number of Fentanyl dead in just the SoCal area alone, and the Fentanyl drug busts that have happened...which just scratches the surface of what is coming across the border. FJB!
There’s probably a lot of things he’s botched we don’t know about.
A junkie should be able to go to any hospital or police station and have his meth or heroin checked for fentanyl. If it just saves one life . . . .
