'Bulls***': Lauren Boebert unloads on McCarthy during his plea to become speaker

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) called a speech by Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ahead of the vote for next House speaker "bulls***" on Tuesday.

The word slipped out after McCarthy attempted to unite the party during a meeting of the House GOP conference, with Boebert muttering "this is bulls***" under her breath. A Boebert official said it was not yelled or spoken into a microphone, according to Fox News.

Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), who has vowed not to vote for McCarthy for speaker, said the whole meeting was tense and hostile.

"The meeting was very hostile, and I don’t think it did anything to persuade those who are inclined to vote against Kevin McCarthy," Good told Fox News.

The Republican party hasn’t represented its voters, or America for that matter, for many, many years. It’s time that we realize that and stop pretending. I say take the party down regardless of whether there is a replacement. FORCE CHANGE!

As a lifelong Republican I agree with you completely. Trump probably could have established a REAL second political party right after the theft in 2020 but he let the opportunity escape his grasp. McCarthy is a clone of that despicable “Mc” over in the Senate!

Lord I am about to just buy some land in the middle of nowhere and disconnect, I can’t deal with the BS anymore...

I did just that following the election debacle in 2008, and moved out of the D.C. area to an 87-acre farm in the Allegheny mountains.

The fact that he needs to be forced should tell MAGA conservatives that he cannot be trusted.

He’s at least as untrustworthy as that other lousy “Mc” over in the Senate!

The sooner we decide it’s time for a new party, the better off we will be in the long run. Let the Pubs fall all over themselves serving the Dems. We have nothing to lose. These entitled Rinos need to be shown the door however we can do it.

Confirming at that point that when if comes to choosing MAGA, the GOP would rather throw in with Democrats. It would be good to see that fact laid wide open.

That’s why, as a lifelong Republican, I’ve come to despise the GOP. Way too many ‘rats on that ship for me get on board!

Is it now becoming more clear that the whole purpose of the GOP is to keep conservatives out of power?

Not a fan of Crenshaw, but he is right. Have been involved in few of these power games. I'm a pretty easy going person (my Nick name in college was “Too Nice”) , but I was surprised at just how mean and ruthless I could be fighting back. I was fortunate enough to prevail every time. I was even more surprised at how harshly I dealt with the players - and how much I enjoyed it. I can't even imagine what a not so nice guy like McCarthy is capable of. Was also on the losing end of a low stakes (for me) hostile takeover of a Board of Directors team I was on. Watched the morons who “won” their childish, ill concieved power play run the organization into the ground. About a year after I declined to run for another term and hit the road, I got a panicked call from a bunch of lawyers defending the new board against a several million buck lawsuit their stupid, arrogant actions brought on. They were desperate for my help in resolving the issue. I was far too busy - that truck's engine oil won't change itself. What a shame. It's not going to be fun to be a Republican in the House and we may all pay the price.
