(Reuters) -Moscow's proposals for settlement in Ukraine are well known to Kyiv and either Ukraine fulfils them for their own good or the Russian army will decide the issue, TASS agency quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying.
"Our proposals for the demilitarization and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new lands, are well known to the enemy," the state news agency quoted Lavrov as saying late on Monday.
"The point is simple: Fulfil them for your own good. Otherwise, the issue will be decided by the Russian army."....

Please point me to one, one in which I can distinguish that it’s Russian, not Ukrainian.
Don’t be disappointed if the Russians achieve their goals of taking the Russian speaking areas. Ukraine is no longer facing a 160,000 man force as designated under the Russian Special Operation. Russia is now on a war footing, they have 745,000 men who will follow the artillery operations. Russia is fighting against an enemy entrenched like in WWI, thus there is a target for the artillery that doesn’t move. The Russians are moving at a slower scale simply due to the need of their artillery to soften the Uke’s. The Financial Times of London is now no longer claiming Ukraine is going to win the war. The idea that Russia is not a credible negotiating partner stems from the 2014-2022 Minsk II that Merkel put forth was a ruse to give time for the west and NATO to arm Ukraine and train their military. Merkel has admitted that the west misled Russia... thus we in west must come up for reason why Russia can’t be trusted. The truth be told, NWO leadership in western nations can’t be trusted period; the Russias are difficult as well to trust but when it comes to their National Interests, they are putting forth the conditions to end this war.
I have been waiting for russia to impose its will militarily since the beginning.
“The truth be told, NWO leadership in western nations can’t be trusted period”
I was thinking about the Cuban Missile Crisis and it how it required TRUST to wind that down - particularly JFK’s secret agreement to remove US missiles from Turkey.
God knows how it would have ended if the Soviet Union didn’t trust the US, or if the US tried to be ‘cute’ as seems to be our policy now.
There are no Russian sourced videos recently. Before, there were Europeans making reports of the empty malls and especially the huge parking lot at the no longer functioning IKEA store. I have not seen any of those for sometime now.
Of interest recently is a person whose video’s are picked up by others and retransmitted. They are transcripts of intercepted phone calls between soldiers and their wives or mothers in Russia. The one’s I have seen are despondent recently mobilized troops who instantly find themselves at the front.
It would seem that Ukranian intelligence has the ability to monitor cell calls into Russia. I suspect that ability is actually NATO passing the raw intelligence along to Ukraine.
You may tell me this is propaganda lies and it very well may be. But, it is pretty easy to separate video truth from the ubiquitous pure propaganda that is present. Russian victory propaganda is nonexistent because there are no Russian victories.
The UN never authorized our invasion and bombing of Serbia. It was a NATO operation not a UN invasion
You appear to be quite an expert with gaslight.
“Looks as though we’re about to try to add Kosovo to our empire DESPITE signing treaties not to do so.”
What’s this “we,” kemosabe? And what is this “empire” of which you speak, and the “treaties” “we” signed pledging not to “add” Kosovo to it?
Links would be nice. So, Links, please.
The Rambouillet Agreement of some twenty years ago gave Kosovo some autonomy, but it remained part of Serbia, though under NATO “management”. Kosovo, however, unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008. Over one hundred member states of the UN recognized Kosovo’s independence from Serbia. However, Kosovo is NOT a member state of the UN.
Kosovo seeks admission to the EU, as does its close ally Turkey.
doesn’t apply to exposing hypocrisy and refuting US stated basis for waging a proxy war.
Khrushchev ultimately lost his job for making that deal.
I won’t deny that at least some Russian troops are having a tough time and, no doubt, the same for Ukrainians.
“Russian victory propaganda is nonexistent because there are no Russian victories.”
Looks like progress on your part, saying that the Russians aren’t lying about their situation in Ukraine (at least per your statement).
“The Rambouillet Agreement of some twenty years ago gave Kosovo some autonomy, but it remained part of Serbia”
Thanks, seems the West was NEVER serious about enforcing the agreement and it wouldn’t surprise me if the West egged-on Kosovo to declare its independence.
Hard to see how Russia could ever trust the West again, and feel free to blast the Russians, but if they don’t trust the West, whatever you and others think of the Russians doesn’t matter, as they will have to finish the war on their terms.
interesting point
putin/russia are killers
they chose to invade a free country
they miscalculated
the smartest thing these killers can do is to declare victory and go home
“Khrushchev ultimately lost his job for making that deal.”
First I heard of that, wouldn’t surprise me although Khrushchev also gave the Politburo some other good reasons to can him.
Also, if it was the case regarding Crimea, why didn’t Brezhnev reverse that idiotic decision?
Probably because Brezhnev never anticipated that someday the Soviet Union would break up.
It wasn’t the official reason K got tossed, but it got the ball rolling.
Ukraine has many foreign sources still reporting what they actually see. The foreign sources from inside Russia have seemingly disappeared.
“Probably because Brezhnev never anticipated that someday the Soviet Union would break up.”
I agree he likely thought that...but that then leads to the question of why it was so important regarding Khrushchev’s career. Maybe it was just one of many stupid things he did, and the Politburo finally got tired of him.
“The foreign sources from inside Russia have seemingly disappeared.”
There are still some, but once Russia outlawed fake news, CNN quickly packed up, and probably the other networks.
