Philosophers seeking to answer questions around inequality in household labour and the invisibility of women's work in the home have proposed a new theory -- that men and women are trained by society to see different possibilities for action in the same domestic environment.
They say a view called "affordance theory" -- that we experience objects and situations as having actions implicitly attached -- underwrites the age-old gender disparity when it comes to the myriad mundane tasks of daily home maintenance.
For example, women may look at a surface and see an implied action -- 'to be wiped' -- whereas men may just observe a crumb-covered countertop.
The philosophers believe these deep-seated gender divides in domestic perception can be altered through societal interventions such as extended paternal leave, which will encourage men to build up mental associations for household tasks.

As I see this, the basic premise is: Men are wrong. Men don’t see things the right way. Men need to change. Men need to be more like women. Because, then Men will be less wrong.

He pronounced this so as to rhyme with "get at us."
"There's your tea now," said Ivy Maggs, "and I'll go and get you a piece of cake, which is more than you deserve. And when you've had it you can go upstairs and talk about nouns for the rest of the evening."
"Not about nouns: by means of nouns," said MacPhee; but Mrs. Maggs had already left the room.
These were truly big, brown, filthy and aggressive.

It’s a beautiful thing, but use it in combination with something that kills the bugs. The NyGuard just keeps them from maturing or hatching.

Roaches are cannibalistic. When ever me and my guys would have to demolish a building that had a snack bar or ground floor coffee shop we knew what to expect.
Especially when it came to ripping out the grill. Jeez the filthy things came swarming out of the walls like something out of a horror movie!

Could be dealt with with a mom staying home and both lowering their financial expectations to more modest levels. Like our parents and grandparents did.
That describes my wife. I often have to ask her the subject of the sentences she just spoke to me.
“Maybe they should get some.”
Who should get some what?
Could be dealt with by staying close to family (both male and female) so that there are more people to do the work. Especially helpful if you want to have more than 2 or 3 kids. Another bonus is you can keep more money in the family.
The atomic family isn’t actually functional without a big assist from extended family and trying to do without extended family is the reason why everything went to hell in a handbasket.
Now that sounds like an educated person.
