On Saturday, Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake lost her post-midterm election lawsuit against Democrat Governor-elect Katie Hobbs, which alleged Arizona voters were disenfranchised after actions by Hobbs and Maricopa County election officials.
According to local news, in dismissing Lake's case Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson paved the way for Katie Hobbs to be Arizona's next governor, but gave "both sides until Monday for Lake's side to appeal or for Hobbs' side to seek sanctions." Lake tweeted, "My Election Case provided the world with evidence that proves our elections are run outside of the law. This Judge did not rule in our favor. However, for the sake of restoring faith and honesty in our elections, I will appeal his ruling."On Wednesday, Lake's team argued that ballots in the election, which was won by Hobbs with fewer than 18,000 voted, were not valid after a review granted by the court.
Speaking at the courthouse on Thursday, Lake said "They admitted that they've known about these ballot problems."
One of Lake's experts in her case was professional investigator Heather Honey who used statements from Maricopa County election officials to make the case that legal requirements over chain of custody were not followed.

Does the law allow for recall of the Secretary of State as well? The Governor of AZ is limited in what he or she can do regarding criminal prosecutions. You really need somebody solid in that position as well or Lake’s ability to reform the electoral system will be seriously hampered. I’m not sure how important the AZ Attorney General’s office is in that regard.

What I don’t understand is what happened when Blehm (spelling?) was questioning Richer. Blehm asked Richer if he was involved in any organization/PAC specifically set up to defeat Lake. Richer said, “No.”
Blehm asked no follow-up. He just let the matter drop.
We’ve been told that Richer did do that. Either we were lied to and he wasn’t involved, or he was but Blehm had no proof. That would’ve been YUGE.
My guess is that the judge was afraid of Arkincide if he ruled for her.
Lake said she will appeal all the way to the supreme court. Maybe this is where it will end up. Something has to happen. Justice needs to be served somewhere somehow.
I think she will keep this issue alive to aid the 2024 election to wake people up to the fact that you need to be aware of the manipulations that are going on and press the legislatures for

If they refuse it will give a basis in the next primaries and election to press those issue with candidates asking “ why do not want to do these things”

Yeah.
The real issue here is corruption and how to get integrity back in the electoral process in order that our votes actually count the way they are supposed to. I just don’t see it happening. Looks to me as if things are going to have to get far far far worse before enough people develope a stomach for this fight. I’m losing hope in humanity but will not give into despair. Never.

Kari went about it the wrong way. All she has to say is “I am actually a democrat and the Russians interfered in an election”
The judge set the parameters for the case in order that he would “have no choice” bug to acquit. He refused to look at the most damning fraud (i.e. signature verification) and then interprets the statute to require intent to be proven - a much higher threshold, especially if you’re not looking for it. No wonder he appeared so reasonable during the trial. He thought he had boxed himself in so that if he just “followed the law” he would have no choice but to acquit. But he didn’t count on Lake’s team actually proving their case, in spite of him.

She can appeal all she wants but she’s a loser and the GOP had the chance to pick a better female conservative candidate in the primary who could have bested that idiot Katie Hobbs in the General by a significant lead. Of course the AZ electoral system was fair when she won her primary. She clammed up **** real **** quick when the numbers flipped and she took the lead. These people!
Kari, her lawyers, and everybody who wants justice needs to continue to plug away and fight this evil.
