Arizona judge rejects Kari Lake's election lawsuit, Lake to appeal

"My Election Case provided the world with evidence that proves our elections are run outside of the law. This Judge did not rule in our favor. However, for the sake of restoring faith and honesty in our elections, I will appeal his ruling," Lake tweeted Saturday

On Saturday, Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake lost her post-midterm election lawsuit against Democrat Governor-elect Katie Hobbs, which alleged Arizona voters were disenfranchised after actions by Hobbs and Maricopa County election officials.

According to local news, in dismissing Lake's case Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson paved the way for Katie Hobbs to be Arizona's next governor, but gave "both sides until Monday for Lake's side to appeal or for Hobbs' side to seek sanctions." Lake tweeted, "My Election Case provided the world with evidence that proves our elections are run outside of the law. This Judge did not rule in our favor. However, for the sake of restoring faith and honesty in our elections, I will appeal his ruling."On Wednesday, Lake's team argued that ballots in the election, which was won by Hobbs with fewer than 18,000 voted, were not valid after a review granted by the court.

Speaking at the courthouse on Thursday, Lake said "They admitted that they've known about these ballot problems."

One of Lake's experts in her case was professional investigator Heather Honey who used statements from Maricopa County election officials to make the case that legal requirements over chain of custody were not followed.

Past generations of Americans have had judges do the right thing. Here's an AZ election overturn from 1916 (there have been others since):

Courts today are full of procedures made to slant to those that control the judges. And yes, judges at certain levels are controlled and are conditioned to set barriers and stumbling blocks for litigants not favored by those who have maneuvered their way into ruling circles, for example organized crime syndicates of which rules Maricopa (history tracing from mobster Meyer Lansky, to Bronfman Family, to father and uncle of Cindy Hensley (McCain).

There are gangsters controlling government with gangster agents inside government. More need to wake up to this fact and accept its reality, but not its continuation.

She said the first thing she was going to do if she was elected was to completely revamp the voting system in Arizona.

They (the scumbag judges) are making sure that never happens.

I doubt it would have mattered, the deep state judges have a pre-determined script.

The only way you will ever prove malfeasance is if someone on the inside talks....ain’t gonna happen.

Lake said she will appeal all the way to the supreme court. Maybe this is where it will end up. Something has to happen. Justice needs to be served somewhere somehow.

Yes, that is the answer. The law allows it and the process is clear. The only hitch is that recall cannot happen until Hobbs has been in office 6 months.

There is recourse to rectify tyranny. Nobody is willing to enact it yet.

"The Republicans need to come up with a more modern solution."

A "more modern solution" to electoral election law basically unadvanced since the Rutherford B Hayes election (The "Hayes-Tilden crisis")?

The "more modern solution" would be for Trump to full-court press for a Constitutional Convention.

Trump-tied conservatives are 15 states away from an unprecedented rewrite of the Constitution

Since when is it required to prove the law was “intentionally” broken by the bad guys?

Maybe I’m just old fashioned, but I clearly remember the days when the issue was whether you broke the law or not. Not whether you “intended” to break the law, or that the opposing party “proved” that you intended to.

Gee, I’ll have to try this with my next traffic stop..”honest, officer..I didn’t INTEND to speed/run the ‘pink’ light” etc. So I’m good to go, right? /sarc

Methinks the bigger issue is that the judge was threatened to make the “right” judgement. Far more plausible than dismissal because Lake did not “prove” the bad guys “intentionally” broke the law. Her lawyers clearly demonstrated that the law WAS BROKEN. Ah, for the good ole’ days when that mattered..

For any legal minds out there, is the judge’s determination that intent needs to be proven, a correct determination or is he mis-interpreting the statute? Also, if intent has to be proven, is it enough to prove that deliberate fraud occurred or must that fraud be connected specifically to the defendants in the case? For example, if it can be proven that fraud occurred regarding signature validation but the person or persons responsible for that fraud can’t be pinpointed, does this statute allow for a remedy?

Correction. No judge was going to void an election that would end up putting a MAGA politician in power.

I watched the full trial. Lake’s team made a good effort, but they never proved malfeasance. A lot of hints and rumors, but any judge will need more than that to overturn an election.

They never produced the duplicate key to the wardroom icebox. Geometric logic won't cut it.

Most of the judges are corrupt. Many of them feel very threatened to go against the machine. Besides being a threat to their life they have their careers to worry about. They know how the system works.

We are past the point of no return.

Bingo. they know that the apparatus will destroy them personally & professionally

We crossed the Rubicon a ways back. It’s getting hard to see it in our rear view.

Started with the Clintons,

Then the non citizen Obama was elected twice.

Trump surprised the deep state, so he had to be eliminated and protocols put into place to ensure that Dems retained power.

2024 seems like another event for them to plan for , minus eliminating mail in balloting, having voter ID, the machine will once again manufacture whatever is needed to give the appearnce of normal as its now defined.

Decoded, count until you have enough, recount if you need to get enough.

Georgia election challengers did that at the GA State Supreme Court and won this last week, but it’s now two years later.
