It’s pretty shameful to watch places like “The American Conservative” become Fake News outlets on behalf of Russia.

Just like with Elon Musk imploding, a short lived idol, how nuts will these people go when Russia’s defeat becomes too obvious to deny?

What bugs me is people supporting this malicious, deadly mayhem out of some warped sense of “patriotism”, of all things.

It’s one thing to fall for the relentless barrage of fakes news, entirely another to *want* the fake news to be true.

If we get out butts nuked off we’ve got it coming.

If Trump would have been potus I’d bet money he would have figured out a deal to avoid this war.

I think the Russians are slow-playing the Ukraine war in part to further bleed the United States. They know that of the billions sent from the U.S. to Ukraine each month, very little of it makes any difference on the battlefield.

Tragically, the Ukrainians are the ones who suffer the immense cost of this foreign policy failure.

I feel for the Ukrainians caught in the middle. I pray for their safety.

I also bear in mind that Russia's beef is with the Deep State Cabal (DSC), and this won't end until the DSC is de-fanged in Ukraine. With a Russia<>DSC war, ordinary Ukrainians are not targets (other than by the DSC, as part of a war effort to blame Russia).

DSC includes the powers that be in the US and NATO, so Russia has its hands full.

The loss of life is devastating. Would it be far less if the West wasn’t playing its role?

>> The mainstream media and the Biden administration insist ad nauseam that Ukraine is winning against Russia

The reasons are of course not given much consideration. Superficial fidelity is all that matters.

I’m worried about what defeat might bring.

If the west is forced to admit that despite all the lives, money, weapons and psychological arm-twisting, that Russia is still holding gains, will there be a ‘knock over the chessboard’ moment in retaliation?

It’s the globalists vs Russia, China and several others who won’t go along with globalism. Unfortunate the lovely Ukrainian people got caught in it. The US should push to end it, but will we? Doubtful.

How much is it worth in US national treasure to see that Ukraine wins this war in which we have no vital national security interest? I think Russia is realizing they underestimated how much this was going to cost them and they may be up for a face saving solution. Time to start pushing the two sides to the conference table. If Ukraine has to cede some of the eastern territory with heavy Russian populus, then they need to do it else they need to be told the unending stream of US treasure comes to an end.

I believe this article is inaccurate due to the cite of 120,000 dead Ukrainians. The number mentioned by the EU was amended later to state that these were not just KIA’s but wounded as well. Anyone who is paying attention knows that Ukraine is defending and retaking their land from the Russians. Anyone who states differently is not well informed on the dynamics of modern warfare. Also, the estimated death toll of Russian soldiers is close to 100,000 and if you count the hapless Wagner mercenaries that have been killed, that number could easily reach 200,000 dead Russians!

It’s not about winning or losing. It’s about churn. Taxpayer money is needed to churn out hardware to waste in Ukraine so that the Ukes can sell it on the black market and send some of the profit back into the pockets of the politicians who are also getting a cut of the defense dollars going to Lockheed, Mitre, Grumman, etc.

Interesting, both said have lost the same in military personnel. Both sides had similar military training and started off using the same weapons. Both sides use the same military tactics, which is not very advanced. Neither side learned or watched what we did in Iraq or Afghanistan. So they both have heavy losses

People seem to forget what war is, and what it looks like.

The US has reduced war to something resembling a video game, where we only care about how many of OUR people are casualties. This altered everyone’s vision of war, including the idiot Russians, who somehow believed they could just order up the same thing.

People cheered ‘Slav Ukrani’ and waved their little flags, and now realize that they can’t fast-forward to the quick clean victory?

You people ordered the soup, now you have to eat it.

The Ukraine is a money laundering scheme set up to steal money from US taxpayers. Significant amounts of the cash go right into the coffers of the democRATS.
