Every one of these individuals would presumably profess to believe that grooming and perverted sexual thirst for boys has nothing to do with same-sex attraction on the part of grown men. The problem, of course, and as the Catholic Church has been dragged kicking and screaming to realize and acknowledge, is that the complete opposite is true. It is an outgrowth of adult male SSA and cannot be addressed honestly or effectively unless and until the problem of adult male SSA is first confronted and brought to heel.

I refuse to honor anyone because of who they have intercourse with, especially when it goes against Gods word. Honor them as republicans, Americans, etc. but not for their sexual perversion. Trump has just about completely lost my support and I have been one of his strongest supporters but if he is going to try and please the LGBT community to get elected then it will be without my support and vote. I guess DeSantis is my new hope.

Many “conservatives” attended this event, including Kari Lake. It’s disappointing to be sure, but modern conservatism is more akin to libertarianism (libertinism?). They are social liberals and fiscal conservatives, and they aren’t really all that fiscally conservative either.
Trump has a somewhat nuanced view of LGBT issues. He supports gay rights but he also strongly supports free speech and religious freedom. So even though he associates with and supports unrepentant homosexuals, he appears to back my right to speak out against immorality.
Homosexuality is a moral evil, and homosexuals are disordered individuals. They suffer from a naturally occurring but unnatural inclination (temptation). The promotion of homosexuality as something culturally harmless is extremely naive at best, but so is the promotion of all sorts of other sins such as the hookup culture and rampant drug misuse. These things tear down the civil society.

I would have put as #1 on your Trump timeline:
1. He suggested that the Constitution be ignored. “Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” - his words.
I get that Trump is very frustrated about the 2020 election. I am too (see my tagline). But there is absolutely no upside to calling for the Constitution to be ignored.
All this wouldn’t bother me so much if Trump were just a private citizen. But he’s running in 2024, and we need MAGA back. But these unforced errors will push him right over the cliff.
Trump’s appeal to the canonical Bible Belt was never to the exclusion of gays. The LCR address isn’t really a new thing since the beginning. Trump always had a wide & diverse base. Anyone that’s been to the rallies since 2016 should know that.
