I actually thought there was a reasonable explanation for some of Trump's recent behaviors. He was trying to shore up the MAGA base. Make sure he's got these folks firmly in his camp and that they're not going to ditch him for DeSantis. That's why he had the Kanye/Fuentes dinner, the talk of suspending the Constitution, the NFTs...

Rally the base, bring them home, and then go after the middle.

But the Log Cabin stuff pretty much screws up this theory. It now appears that Trump has no real strategy to get elected and that he's just campaigning for the fun of it. (Which is believable. I always thought that Trump enjoyed running for president more than actually being president.)
