The ‘Twitter Files’ Is What It Claims to Expose (barf alert)
New York Magazine ^ | DEC. 10, 2022 | Eric Levitz

Posted on 12/11/2022 10:13:32 AM PST by ml/nj

Twitter is not what it seems. The social-media platform poses as a neutral marketplace for the exchange of ideas and information; an agora where journalists, politicians, academics, cultural icons, business titans, and ordinary citizens can engage in a dialogue unbounded by gatekeeping elites.

...

That’s the story that conservatives want to tell about what Twitter used to be, in the bad old days before Elon Musk begrudgingly bought it. Fortunately, Twitter’s new CEO has a deep-seated objection to social-media companies using their power over discourse to promote partisan causes. Therefore, Musk is using his newfound power over discourse to promote the conservative movement’s demagogic narratives about Twitter and the Democratic president’s son.

It's a long article. Some pullquotes:
In reality, neither the Post’s reporting nor any subsequent investigations of Hunter Biden’s laptop (or his relationship with Burisma) has documented a single instance in which Joe Biden used public power to aid his son’s private interests.

If influence peddling were illegal, K Street would house a sprawling penitentiary.

In sum: The New York Post published a story based on data that was apparently — but, at the time, unverifiably — Hunter Biden’s. That story falsely purported to offer “smoking gun” evidence of Joe Biden’s corruption, when it actually provided no such thing.

after all, there was exponentially more evidence that Donald Trump had used public power to advance his family’s private business interests than evidence that Biden had done so

In 2021, Twitter conducted a study of its algorithm’s political implications. Examining data from seven different countries — the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, and Japan — Twitter compared how tweets were presented by a default, chronological timeline versus how they appeared when curated by their company’s algorithm. It found that in six of seven nations, including the United States, the algorithm amplified rightwing politicians and news organizations far more than leftwing ones.

pre-Musk Twitter’s content curation policies made rightwing content more visible — and leftwing content, less — than a purely neutral hosting of tweets would have done.

Eric Levitz is scared. His argument boils down to 2 points. 1. I don’t believe it and 2. Trump did worse things.

The left always takes the road of deflection and misdirection because they have no real argument to make.

From one of the comments in the article: "...why lib journos like Levitz have been throwing a massive tantrum ever since Musk took away their toy. Their information monopoly/leftist country club is all gone."

That's true and explains the libtard wailing. However, for rational people, the real issue is in identifying the government operatives who were calling the shots to Twitter. They are criminals.

Elon Musk doesn’t support conservative narratives, nor is he really interested in amplifying them.

He and Twitter are engaged in a PR campaign to win over the large swath of people who either identify as conservative, or who live their lives believing in the American idea of liberty. The PR campaign’s purpose is to divert attention from what Musk really is, and to get people on board with thinking Twitter has changed. It hasn’t.

Musk doesn’t believe in American liberty. He believes in transhumanism, universal basic income, and world government. He is co-founder of Neuralink, a company whose stated goal is to implant microchips in most of humankind, for the purpose of.....mind control.

The Twitter logo/icon is a blue bird. Project Bluebird “was” an offshoot of the CIA’s MKUltra (MindKontrol) program.

Project MKUltra: The CIA’s experiments into mind control

Two of the most well-known projects carried out under MKUltra were codenamed Bluebird and Artichoke. In Project Bluebird, subjects were experimented on and studied by teams of professional psychiatrists in hopes of finding ways to access information, affect thoughts and behaviors, and even control subjects’ minds. These doctors attempted to create multiple personalities, implant hypnotic suggestions, erase memories, and much more. Many of these experiments were deemed illegal and inhumane, even those that were published in professional medical journals!

The participation of psychiatrists and medical schools in mind control research was not a matter of a few scattered doctors pursuing questionable lines of investigation. Rather, the mind control experimentation was systematic, organized, and involved many leading psychiatrists and medical schools.

Musk’s Neuralink may just be the company that will allow Klaus Schwab to achieve his dream.

Klaus Schwab describes implanting chips in humans (Interview given on January 10, 2016 to the Swiss channel RTS):

Klaus Schwab on implanting microchips

from the intro:

In 2020, Klaus Schwab said that Covid-19 is a “rare but narrow window of opportunity to rethink, reinvent, reset our world.”

from the interview:

“Certainly in the next ten years...And at first we will implant them in our clothes...And then we could imagine that we will implant them in our brains, or in our skin...And in the end maybe there will be a direct communication between our brain and the digital world...What we see is a kind of fusion of the physical, digital and biological world.”
Um, no thanks.

There is no gotcha moment for the left. They are simply in capable of being embarrassed. Child porn, child trafficking via immigration, real Russian collusion, real Ukrainian, collusion, kickbacks from China, a son of a sitting president, who is a whore, monger drug addict, and most likely child rapist…. Deny deny deny.

“...after all, there was exponentially more evidence that Donald Trump had used public power to advance his family’s private business interests than evidence that Biden had done so...”

Really? Trump was in ‘public power’ for all of four years. Biden has been in ‘public power’ for more than four decades. Trump entered public office already quite rich and from all accounts left office less rich than when he entered.

Biden became a Senator when he was thirty, and now owns at least three homes, plus his brother and his son have become quite wealthy while Biden has held office. What qualifications did Hunter have to sit on Amtrak’s board, or Burisma’s board except that his dad was a Senator in the first instance and Vice President in the second?

But according to Mr Lovitz, there is ‘exponentially’ more evidence of Trump’s wrongdoing than Brandon’s. Spit.

The biggest developing story isn’t about how the Deep State bent, tore, and spindled the Constitution, committing what may be the larges and most widespread civil rights violation in American history. No.

It’s way, way uglier than that.

Among other courageous folks, Twitter recruited independent child safety advocate Andrea Stroppa to help its content team eliminate child sexual exploitation (CSE) material from the platform. They gave her access to the Twitter Files, and yesterday Stroppa delivered her first report about what she found was going on before Musk took over.
