Leading activists with climate change protest group Just Stop Oil have admitted that they drive petrol cars, but still claim that this doesn’t make them hypocrites.
Erm, okay then.
“Dr Larch Maxey, 50, a climate scientist from the eco group, said some members still drive cars and fill up with petrol – but rejected the idea that it was hypocritical,” reports the Telegraph.
According to activist leaders, they are “victims” of the “fossil fuel economy.”
Maxey says that people who call for the oil industry to be shut down but then drive petrol cars shouldn’t be called out for hypocrisy because they’re “just doing our best within that to push for the necessary change.”
The implication that the activists are forced to drive petrol cars because there’s no other option is absurd given Britain’s vast public transport network, as well as the fact that virtually all major towns and cities are now festooned with cycle lanes.
What’s next?
“I’m a vegan who eats meat, but I’m not a hypocrite.”
Last year, it was revealed that the leader of Insulate Britain, another Extinction Rebellion offshoot, doesn’t even insulate his own home and indeed “doesn’t care” about insulating homes.
The truth is, they’re all hypocrites who care more about attention-seeking and social media clout than they do the actual cause they’re supposed to be fighting for.
Do as we say, not as we do.

Just a few short years ago, these are the meatheads that walked around sucking on Tide pods.
Personally I’m a huge fan of carbon.
It has enhanced my life in immeasureable ways.
EVs are expensive and not a good deal. Even eco zealots know dollars don’t grow on trees.
John Effin’ said something along the same lines about his private jet. “It’s the best answer for People Like Me” or some such. Meaning not for you.
Me? I'm a celibate slut.
This reminds me of a guy who blew around me when I went through OKC back in 1977. He had a large fake whale on the top of his car and signs that read..”SAVE THE WHALES! BOYCOTT JAPANESE PRODUCTS!”
He was driving a Datsun.
So what?
They have already demonstrated a predilection for operating outside the rules of society and we expect to defeat them by engaging them in the "arena of ideas"???
What absolute stupidity!
I wish, just once, they’d glue themselves to, say, Harrison Ford’s airplane or DeCaprio’s Yacht.
That would be such fun! But, I’m kinda mean that way... ;)
But we already knew that. 😂👍
They prove that they are not just blatant hypocrites, they are also unabashed liars as well
How about some pier pilings at low tide. 🤔
Climunnists — I love it!
Use as you see fit. No copyright infringement. 😁👍
OK, They’re not hypocrites...
They are merely lunatics.
When these hypocritical sobs stop using oil based products or oil powered products I’ll consider listening to them. But they won’t be able to tell me they stopped.
A flatbed tow truck should show up to the homes of everyone of these people, snatch their cars and bring it to the nearest metal recycling place where they can witness it being chopped up and formed into a metal block.
Then prohibited from owning any vehicle that uses petrol or any EV that uses electric from a power plant to charge their vehicles and taking their homes off the grid.
Walk the Walk.
In a real and sane world, that is exactly how these people should be treated. Force them to live with the consequences of their idiotic ideology. One, that in some cases, allows them to live a very comfortable life extorting people for money with their charities and non-profits. Instead, they’re coddled. Just like that nasty little girl from wherever the hell she’s from.
—”I’m a celibate slut.”
Wow, a living oxymoron!
(I cannot help myself, satan or something forces me to post strange things, but not always.)
put some sugar in their tank...
