The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis released its final report on Friday before Republicans take control of the House in the next upcoming Congress, providing new findings on how the Trump administration’s actions negatively impacted the U.S. response.
The report from the Democratic-led subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Jim Clyburn (S.C.), highlighted the Trump White House’s “failed stewardship over the pandemic response and persistent pattern of political interference.”

I do blame Trump for his response to the pandemic. He should have stepped up and pronounced Dr. Scott Atlas as his main advisor rather than following the advice of Brix and Fauci.
The dem’s used the pandemic to control us and the 2020 election....and continue to do so. He should have had the conviction to unleash all the voices the media and big tech were silencing...such as the Great Barrington Declaration.
“Tried and found wanting” What exactly does that mean? They were never actually tried. Any attempt to try them was suppressed and often prosecuted. Social media prohibited any discussion.
There have now been large proper studies showing they do not he!p.
I concede there is a possibility they *might* be helpful when used in conjunction with zinc, as both are said to be ionosphores of zinc which has proven antiviral properties. As far as I’m aware, there have been no large proper studies studying this. However, if it’s also true that quercetin is also an ionosphore of zinc, why not take it instead? It has excellent anti-inflammatory properties, none of the side effects of HCQ and ivermectin, is cheap, and requires no prescription.
I had high hopes for HCQ and ivermectin at the beginning, but they proved ineffective and I lost interest completely when MABs came along, which really do work.
There was pro-ivermectin and pro-HCQ propaganda all over Twitter and Facebook. Bunches of it was posted here on FR.
Guess they didn’t read Pence’s new book where he takes full responsibility for COVID actions. (and saved millions of lives)
They won’t be happy until he is dead and gone. They are SO jealous.
Trump got vaccines in record time.
Trump got vaccines in record time.
True, if you define “vaccine” as a substance that doesn’t provide immunity from a disease or pathogen.
Afterall, he did keep Dr of Death Fauci
“They were never actually tried. Any attempt to try them was suppressed and often prosecuted.”
There were many early attempts to see if chloroquine or HCQ could work on Covid. But you had to go to PubMed or similar sites to see the reports instead of the conspiracy sites posted daily here at FR.
Here’s one paper from January 2021 reporting on “Seven randomized clinical trials” “14 cohort studies of 20,979 patients” and “Thirteen studies (1 RCT and 12 cohort studies) with 15,938 hospitalized patients examined the effect of HCQ on short-term mortality” :
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33031488/
“Conclusions: Moderate certainty evidence suggests that HCQ, with or without azithromycin, lacks efficacy in reducing short-term mortality in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 or risk of hospitalization in outpatients with COVID-19.”
At the bottom of that page are links to 20 more pages of studies on the potential efficacy of CQ and HCQ against Covid.
There was hope in early 2020 that CQ or HCQ might work based on a postive in vitro lab experiment on SARS-1 back in 2005. But when Covid brought the chance to test it outside the lab, what had worked in the lab didn’t transfer to live human patients.
Did they do Cuomo?
They worked for me.
He followed the medical community’s guidelines.
Are they saying those guidelines were evil?
For once we agree.
My take on it, is the TPTB wanted to tryout the EVENT 201 mitigation strategy. They have been wanting to do it for years. The phony death modeling gave TPTB an upper hand in convincing Trump to agree to lockdown strategies. Atlas didn't join the Covid team until August 2020. By then the damage was already done.
