Russia freed WNBA star Brittney Griner on Thursday in a dramatic high-level prisoner exchange, with the U.S. releasing notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, American officials said. The swap, at a time of heightened tensions over Ukraine, achieved a top goal for President Joe Biden, but carried a heavy price – and left behind an American jailed for nearly four years in Russia.
The deal, the second such exchange in eight months with Russia, procured the release of the most prominent American detained abroad. Griner is a two-time Olympic gold medalist whose monthslong imprisonment on drug charges brought unprecedented attention to the population of wrongful detainees.
"Moments ago I spoke to Brittney Griner. She is safe. She is on a plane. She is on her way home," Biden tweeted Thursday morning.

I suspect that while she is a very good player on a women’s team, she would not have enough ability to play on a men’s team.

That happened before she went to Russia. Much of what she believes is illegal in Russia (homosexual lifestyle). She also had expressed sentiments which we would call anti-American, these the Russians would encourage.

Generally, I don’t watch women’s sports but the point is that to make a fair living, Ms. Griner had to go elsewhere to do it.

Which is why we see loser second and third bench males playing the Tranny card to move into women's sports where they can finally win something to add to their 6th grade attendance trophies.
And why we don't see even the top females in their sports playing the Tranny card to move into men's sports.

Many people don’t know she’s a transsexual. That sheds a whole new light on why the Russians can’t stand her: she probably beat out their real women in the Olympics.
Not only are they morally against all that stuff, they wanted to show the world that this particular social philosophy ruins things like the Olympics.
Not only that, but it is part of their statement to the rest of the world not to choose alliance with the West but with them. So it was a strong political—and media-savvy—move. No one is talking about this part of it. In fact the media are not identifying her as a transsexual and consequently many usually well-informed people don’t know about it.
All that said, I’m glad we have her back. When all is said and done, she’s an American. Now we want the other one back too.
