“I live in Ohio. No one would buy a vehicle without a heater.”

Tell them to ‘toughen up’. If they want a heater, then buy a heater. If they want a vehicle, then buy a vehicle.

“Texas. LOL.”

Yep. And actually, a Puerto Rican friend of mine tells me that back home, they bypass the heater cores on their vehicles, since they actually do not need heaters there.

Only use the heater in the summer. And only use the Air Conditioner in the winter.

That video was when it was 37 degrees.

You gotta wonder what the range is at 20 degrees, 10 degrees, zero degrees, ten below zero degrees....

All the “trust the science” types are hiding the ball....

“Hey, where’s our Globalists who make a point of defending EVs on every thread?”

Why do you think people who use an EV as one of their vehicles are “Globalists”?

I have an ICE convertible. I don’t drive it in the winter.

I have an EV (Ford Mach e). I don’t drive it if I’m traveling more than 100 miles round trip.

I have an SUV (8 cylinder hemi). I don’t drive it every day for short commutes; it’s hard on the engine and burns the most gas for those short trips. BTW, my gasoline cars are older, higher miles and paid off. Using the EV for my commuter car not only saves me money but prolongs the life of my gasoline vehicles.

I have a hammer. I don’t use it for driving screws.

I have a screwdriver. I don’t use it for driving nails.

Yeah, that diagram is probably intended for the remaining half billion. And I don’t think the globohomo cult (under Satan) is patient enough for a, say, 100 year draw down in population.

125 years ago the invented the electric car, the battery lasted about 400 miles. Todays electric car goes about 425 miles on a charge. Now that’s progress

I have always wondered about that. You can live without A/C, even in the South. A heater in the North, no so much. You won’t even be able to keep the windshield from fogging up.

You have a point, my bad. I should say “Globalist Supporters”, as the GLOBALISTS are the ones forcing us into EVs and EVs only.

I had one of the early beetles. I had to pull off every few miles to brush the snow off the headlights. For some reason they were tilted upwards on those models.

I’ve owned an EV (Ford Mach e) for a year and a half.

In below freezing temperatures my range goes down by 1/3 or more. The heated seats are really hot and heat up fast, but using the heater isn’t going to decrease my range anywhere near as much as the cold temperature.

Don’t use an EV for anything other than a commuter vehicle, and don’t buy one if you can’t charge it at home.

As a matter of fact, if you can only afford ONE vehicle it most likely should NOT be an EV.

With that in mind I’m not sure how big the market will be for electric trucks. Towing distance is a joke. Maybe for the guy who only uses it for Home Depot & Lowes runs...and who lives within 50 miles within where he needs to go.
