Tis the season.
The Walgreens in Wisconsin where I get my meds from started using a large fulfillment center in the Chicago area to package the drugs. The pharmacy staff just file them and then hand them over when I pay.
Local CVS stores have gone self-serve, only, with the exception of alcohol. I avoid them as a result. Such business models ought not survive.
Racists!
How dare they deprive entire neighbor-hoods of the right to shop...........lift.....................
They can both go bankrupt for all I care. Walgreens never has anything I’m looking for and CVS took over Longs Drugs. Longs was a great drug store, had 22LR ammo and HO train kits. Hard to beat.
Best economy ever.
And don’t forget to thank your fine, upstanding democrat when ya see em...../s
On line purchasing and in store gathering of products by their
hired hands are impacting it greatly would be my guess. You
can go in a Wally World and they have employees pulling carts
around filling up bags for customers who just drive up and they
bring it to your car and off you go.
For canned goods and bagged products that is okay but I want
to prick my choices fresh foods, etc.
To,fix the problem, I suggest raising the $$ of “allowable thefts” up to just under $2000- heck, make it $10,000 and under- that should solve it
The CVS in Bozeman, MT has been having trouble for a while. They just can’t find people to work. They’ve shut down the drive through pharmacy for months and had to ship in and house (at a local hotel) a crew in from Billings. It appears to be improving, but it’s been a huge struggle.
I think Walmart is taking over the prescriptions.
And I found out that Medicare does not include CVS. Of course CVS is higher than anyone else.
Many pharmacies in some of the big box stores are being closed and have been closed due to locations near to expressways.
That makes them targets for the FreeWay bandits.
The real reason is the big BLACK elephant the room no one wants to talk about: high-crime, democrat-led zip codes with “eric holders” people and “sons of obama”.
Too much theft.
Making it tougher for the little High Schoolers to find a place to flash mob loot during the lunch hour. Pretty soon they won’t need cellphones anymore to stage their “meet ups”.
Maybe their mutual business model of always located their stores on adjacent or opposite corners of the same intersections is the problem.
It’s the exact opposite of a pharmacy desert. It’s direct competition for every one of your locations.
My Staples store for over 20 years closed went to get a few things and bam its empty was just there a few weeks ago went to the second one a bit further away bam its gone too
Here is a weird fact... there are CVS stores that closed down in my city. Just down the street however, they just built a brand new CVS from the ground up. What is going on???
Looks like Cigna made the right decision in acquiring Express Scripts. Chinese chemicals delivered straight to your door.
There’s always a line when I purchase my prescriptions at CVS. Also, Walgreens always builds a store right across, or next door, to a CVS store. Will have to take note which company closes down, if they do, in my hood.
