Fox Business host Stuart Varney blasted former President Trump, saying his time as the leader of the GOP is likely coming to an end and a loss by Herschel Walker in Tuesday’s Georgia Senate runoff election would essentially be Trump’s fault.
“There’s a lot at stake here, more than just a balance of power in the Senate, it’s about the state of the Republican Party and Trump’s role in it,” Varney said Tuesday of Georgia’s runoff contest. “He seems to be losing what used to be his iron grip on the GOP and he still has a hard core of supporters who will follow them regardless, but many of the 74 million people who voted for him in 2020, have been turned off.”

He never had an Iron grip. First Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell allowed the Russia gate Hoax to foster when they were in charge of the house and senate during his first two years, as a way of stopping him from not doing “business as usual” in DC. Then McConnell continues to stab him in the back, because it’s better to be the literal #2 he is than have to actually do things openly in the Senate. Better a backroom deal with Schumer than a deal with the american people. He gives crap a bad name.
The sHill with their daily “Demise of Trump” feces.
> “else, but as a longtime Trump supporter, I think it is time to move on to a younger generation, and I am now supporting DeSantis.”
What a good old dog you are. Just what the Establishment Never-Trumpers want you to do.
switched over to Newsmax on everything except 8pm watching Tuck sometimes.
Never watch him anymore. My mornings are RAV and War Room.
Essentially, BS.
Despite the expectations of the voters who sought a united and effective R party that could get America off of Obama's perverse path, Trump was denied a firm grip by backstabbing closet Rino's, Establishment Elites and One-Worlders.
He never supported him.
Breaking neew🙄So i suppose if i google “trump losing grip on GOP” a bunch of stories from the past wont appear.
Why not support someone whos actually running.
Don’t you love how the NeverTrumpers are always speaking for Trump voters.
I think he has it backwards.
No one supported Trump.
People supported conservatism, which is defined rather strictly as:
Build the Wall
Drain The Swamp
America First in All Things
Pro Second Amendment
Pro Life
Other candidates do not sign on to the second item. Trump is the only one who made an attempt at it, and he remains the only one with any sort of focus on that.
DeSantis will arrive and suddenly announce that Tax Cuts are the focus of the GOP when Tax Cuts are meaningless, because the Fed prints dollars from nothingness that you are trying to declare cutting to be sacred. He’s GOPe and every one of these newly minted supporters know it. They know full well he has no interest at all in draining the swamp.
And that, people, means he is not a Conservative.
He hasn't said whether or not he's running in '24--and I don't think he should. Florida needs a full-time governor.
TOTALLY INCORRECT!
If Walker loses it is because Warlock ran a totally negative campaign and many of his charges against Walker languished for a long time before being answered. The media, of course, is behind and supports, Warlock, who is nothing more than a rubber stamp for Pedo Joe. He couldn't point to a single thing that he did in the two years he's had his nose up Joe's butt that benefitted Georgia, so he went negative immediately. Warlock also benefits from a totally corrupt election system.
I used to like him, but realized he’s a FOX News/Paul Ryan shill.
what’s the GOP down to now?
chyna mitch, rino ryan, mitturd, rona, crisco christy??
did I miss anyone?
Thank you Owen. Spot on. DeoSanctus is the bait-n-switch GOPe candidate.
What a fu@@ing idiot.
