3.5 Million More Americans Voted Republican in the Midterms So Go Ahead - Blame Trump
townhall.com ^ | 12/5/2022 | Joy Overbeck

It was quite head-spinning to see how instantly and gleefully many Republicans of the high forehead class leapt to blaming Donald Trump for the less-red-wavy-than-expected 2022 Midterms. And leapt from there to condemning his 2024 presidential run. But before lifting new champion Governor DeSantis to their shoulders, the Trump-trashers would do well to praise Caesar rather than burying him.

The Trump magic is clear in the Midterm numbers - 92% of Trump’s endorsees won their primaries, as did 86% of his general election picks. The nay-sayers claiming his 2020 coattails were toxic in 2022 - even though he had no coattails because he wasn’t on the ballot – are simply wrong. In total, Trump’s candidates won 224 of 241 primary races and 208 of 254 general-election ones, according to the Trump-hating Washington Post. People obviously like to vote for the candidates Trump likes. Rather than waning, his influence is on the rise. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/11/21/trump-republicans-elections/)

Also - if the usual suspects are using the 2022 election to condemn Trump’s 2024 presidential run, why shouldn’t they give him credit for winning back the House? And for the really big news that Republicans actually beat Dems in the popular vote by about 3.5 million ballots?

The Trump-floggers can’t have it both ways.

“I am not entirely convinced it is healthy for the party, but that is just me”

As for me I am entirely convinced the party is not only unhealthy but rabidly sick

Seems many should really be over in the LIBTARD party instead of infesting the other

Its going to be dumblecrat lite.

Its already started with Republicans offering “pathways” to citizenship...thanks Thom Tillis and the eerie “support for Journalism”[ Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA)] nonsense. Thanks, McConnel.

We are screwed because we don’t have the ballz to tell Schumer to pound sand.

Notice how the more we all get out and vote, the more we lose?

Notice how the next day after elections the democrats always find just what they need to win?

Notice how we end up blaming our candidates and ourselves?

Notice how we just can’t seem to vote out those stubborn RINO incumbents?

Notice how we all say we will really win next time if we do this, this and this?

Only where they were permitted, and only when the race was not all that important - their votes did not count, only their ballots did.

There was a guy named Sean Parnell that got Trump’s initial endorsement but there was a nasty child custody battle and Parnell quit the race over it.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/22/politics/sean-parnell-suspends-senate-campaign/index.html

The judge based his/her decision by judging their personalities and said the wife was more believable. No evidence, just character judgement.(and many in the GOPe agreed) He was basically taken out my the MSM, a judgy judge and GOPe.

That left turds so Trump picked the TV star turd.

I do recall that. PA has about 13 million people, and that’s our best?

I do understand that many good people want no part of politics, and I can’t blame them.

Nobody told Walker to talk about vanpires. Kemp won by 7 percent. Walker lost by 8 percent then Kemp. Voters need to pick better candidates.

Trump is probably one of the best leaders in American history. Right up there with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. I ride with him...period.

" Most fault belongs with...Graham "

If one has to drill down to explain why the wave became a whimper, this turd right here. He is the sole reason that a majority GOP popular vote with all categories trending upward did not pull off the legislative sweep (not discounting "the cheat" aspect where applicable). He is solely responsible for galvanizing the pro abortion base. Without his legislative troll, we get the senate.

And that pro abortion base includes single issue independents.

Number of votes matter. In “purple” states most here won’t like the candidate.
Now that abortion issue is with the state, it doesn’t matter what a Senator thinks. Our side should answer questions the way Democrats do…answer a question not asked.

Almost all of the 92% of Trump endorsed candidates who won would have won anyways even w/o Trump’s endorsement. What is important are where the races were competitive like in PA, MI, AZ, AK and NV. Trump’s record there is dismal. And it looks like we are going to lose the Senate runoff election in GA.

Most Senate Republicans recently told Trump to kiss their collective asses when they reelected McConnell by a wide margin over Trump endorsed Sen. Scott.

Kemp won by 7 percent. Walker lost by 8 percent then Kemp.

I smell "engineering".

"Brain" Kemp and Brat Rattenspewer have been in control of the vote-counting machinery since 2018.

Georgia Libertarians:

US Senate US Senate GA Governor
  2022 2020 2022
Chase Oliver Shane Hazel Shane Hazel
    81,353 115,039 28,162

Amazing how Shane Hazel was able to force David Perdue into a run-off in 2020 - but he couldn't get anyone to vote for him a scant two years later.

MEANWHILE, the LGBTQ poofter Libertarian Chase Oliver suddenly gained a huge following - forcing Herschel Walker into a run-off in 2022...

Note how Stacey Abrams has zipped it about Georgia vote fraud.

She'll be well-rewarded.

My point is that in these purple states, polls were way down for Dems due to the economy/energy/inflation. This covered the spectrum from full oot coocoo-for-coco-puffs left to the moderates. It’s the pro abortion moderates and independents that made the difference. They were gonna stay home with their hurting wallets til Linda shit in the MAGA punchbowl.
