WASHINGTON — A federal jury in Washington found Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes guilty of seditious conspiracy in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Rhodes was on trial alongside Jessica Watkins, Kelly Meggs, Kenneth Harrelson and Thomas Caldwell; Caldwell was the only one of the five who was not detained while awaiting trial. The jury is reading its verdict in the case.
All five defendants face felony counts of seditious conspiracy, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting, and conspiracy to prevent an officer from discharging their duties. Watkins also faced a count of civil disorder and aiding and abetting because, as she admitted on the stand, she helped push against officers inside the Capitol.

so ... basically just a long list of charges that ANY protestor could be charged with?
DC jury
Watkins should have said, “I don’t recall”.
DC Court, DC Jury, DC Judge why even bother with the trial just take ‘em to the gallows.
Show me the man and I will show you the crime.
We have criminal courts in this country.
Bye, America.
I do think going into the Capital Building wasn’t a swell
idea, but there wasn’t this kind of reaction to the people
who occupied the Wisconsin Capital Building.
Lest we forget though, those were Leftists on parade.
That’s a lot different. /s
The January 6th people are being railroaded.
This was a protest. It was little different than what
took place at the state level. IF they are going to
let people in Wisconsin occupy their state house with
no ramifications, why shouldn’t these people be allowed
to?
Seditious conspiracy is what they want to hang Trump with.
It is shocking that Trump didn’t pardon them before he left office.
I have never understood that.
He could of pardoned everyone associated with Jan 6th as his last official act as president.
The same conviction George Washington would have received.
Because if he had done that he would have been pardoning the seditious conspirators which include... Pelosi, McConnel and various members of the FBI and DOJ.
Well, what about the big cache of firearms, explosives, IED’s and RPG’s these guys had brought to D.C.? Oh? Really? never mind.
They had to have this conviction.
Now they can scream some more that Trump caused sedition.
I thought they had to be convicted for a Presidential pardon.
He had his chance prior to leaving the White House, but didn’t do it.
The DC courts have a freakishly high conviction rate. Which eventually is going to merit an investigation and a rash of appeals in higher courts.
Anyone who entered the Capitol that day is a doof, but only a couple dozen of them deserve more than a misdemeanor trespass charge.
Nixon wasn’t.
No, the president can pardon anyone at any stage of the proceedings. USUALLY, they don’t pardon until after sentencing.
Kangaroo court.
