Pendukh, 33, after serving several months on the front lines - the war has taken a toll on him He considers himself lucky. Friends in his battalion have served with squads that lost more than half their members.
"Lots of problems, even psychological problems," he says. "Some people from those formations, they need psychological help after this. Very serious psychological help."
He's tired of living out of a tent. He's tired of facing daily artillery fire. He misses his mom and her cooking....He acknowledges crying while eating an apple pie that his mother recently sent him.
"The further you are from the action, the more scary it feels," he says.
Ukrainian commanders are turning to morale officers and psychologists to help keep up soldiers' spirits.

Ukrainian soldiers are “exhausted”, yet they’re still able to force Russia to retreat
amazing!
with stamina like that, Russia will never defeat these guys
I don’t get it.
Report after western report of the Russians losing 100s of thousands of KIA, out of ammo, out of tanks, Putin on a death/coup bed and their troops with only with 45 minutes of training before sent into combat.
What could go wrong?
“His battalion is expanding and they’re training some new members — some of whom have never picked up a gun before.”
He acknowledges crying while eating an apple pie that his mother recently sent him.

How exactly does a package service work to get an apple pie to the war front? Amazon 2-day shipping? FedEx? UPS?
Sure.
That's why Russia now occupies over 20% of Uke land and turned out the lights on the other 80%.
Now, that's really winning for the mentally disturbed/deficient Uke Nazi soldiers. Really winning -- NOT!
I would be exhausted just listening to NPR
they HAD 20% at the peak last summer, but that’s been pushed back to 15% now ... and shrinking
stay tuned, there’s more Russian retreats in the forecast
Is it really 15%?
You need to exclude the territory Russia already had in the Donbas and Crimea since the 2014 conflict.
Well, it’s worse for the Russians soldiers. Do you think they’re having a picnic as invaders bogged down in an unwinnable war, to satisfy the glorious dreams of a dying egomaniac?
Odd how all these pro Biden/Pelosi/Ukraiane/one party freks clap for joy about this war when our southern border is crushing America.
Bravo dummies, it’s all Russia, Russia, Russia...the brainwashing is complete.
You're delusional!
When is the USA going to send $5 billion for psychotherapy and counseling.
Its something we really excel in, isn’t it?
These people are fighting in their backyard.
You could drive to the forward areas.
No problem to understand really....no oceans to cross, no flight time.
What was amazing....back in 2004 I was temporarily assigned to an area near Tallil. That was considered the boonies.
I ordered an external hard drive via internet from California....the device was in my hands within 10 days.
Of course being near the MSR helped.
Tucker reported we’re now at 100 Billion plus sent to Ukraine.
That would have walled our entire southern border!
Actually the situation is developing for a possible huge Russian winter offensive and victory:
Exhaustion of Uke troops
Energy grid collapse
Available stocks of weapons and ammo getting low
Conversely Russia:
Reinforcements of men
Plentiful weapons and ammo
Better supply situation
Once the ground freezes we might see a massive Stalingrad type counter offensive and game over.
This is according to 2 men I’ve been carefully following podcasts on. Alex Mercouris and col doug mcgregor.

Now before Sending insults down range understand I’m not wishing this…I’ve been on the neutral side since day one. Bloody wasteful war just needs to end.
Bloody wasteful war just needs to end.
It'll end when the Russians go home and stop attacking Ukraine.
“clap for joy about this war when our southern border is crushing America.”
So what does one have to do with the other? and why are you here if you want to talk about the border?
Though I'm neutral for the most part Zelensky's constant badgering for endless money and military equipment with little gratitude is more than irksome. Further his personal speeches as well are beyond tiresome.
