While they were living with their families in China they had to be careful about what they said. They focused on describing the culture of the Chinese people and never had anything good or bad to say about the government.
Lots of videos helping tourists and short-term workers to make their way in China without getting scammed.
When they were about to be arrested, they escaped and now live in the US.
The guy on the left is from South Africa. The guy on the right is from New England. They are great guys.
The Chicom government has no problem killing or imprisoning their subjects.

The military will kill off thousands upon thousands of the opposition and it will result in an even harsher control in that country.

So far unsaid is: they relate these protests are going on all over the country: all the top tier universities, top tier cities, all the cities no Westerner ever heard of - everywhere.
The PLA has been deployed. So far no one has been killed or murdered by the police or the PLA. People are actually trying to drag back protestors seized by the police and military - that never happens.
The things being said are totally unheard of in China: CCP Step Down, Freedom not Slavery, F the CCP, F Xi Jinping’s mom ... Give me liberty or Give me death ... Help people (highly unusual as well) ... This shows things have shifted - people have nothing left to lose. The Government is sending in signal jammers to block cell phone signals.
One of the sparks that set these events off was a building fire. The building was under covid lockdown and the doors were locked, were welded shut. In the video, you can hear a woman screaming to be let out & then just screaming. She wasn’t let out. 10 people died - including children (the official story).
People were forbidden to talk about this, beyond the official story; people went crazy. Any one could face the same situation: being locked in a burning building with no escape, no help.

While the Communists in China and the United States would love to put them down like dogs, the fragile economy in China needs them for the next few decades until their attempts to undo the single child policy might possibly work out.
The "Tang Ping" (Lying Flat) movement in China is leading to more and more of this. Once people realize the only way to win is not to participate, it's game over. Beatings don't change the mindset of people who already know they don't have a future in the system.

From my understanding back then the protests were primarily In Beijing, even then China had to bring in troops from around the country because the local troops were not willing to kill the neighbors and potential family members.
These Covid protests appear to spreading all over the country wherever a Covid lockdown occurs
