The White House is resisting calls from pediatric health groups to declare a national emergency due to the early surge in respiratory illness in children.
As seasonal flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), coronavirus and other respiratory viruses swarm the country, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association argue an emergency declaration, which would grant providers additional funding and more flexibility from regulations, is the best and fastest way to help the overburdened health system.

The White House doesn’t want to spend money on something they have to produce a product only dark money is fair game.

Brother in Florida is suffering with this resperatory flu currently - knocks you down hard just with the fatigue not to mention coughing and aches. No appetite.

This is one time that the following statement has VALIDITY... "Nothing to see here, move along."
The reason why hospitals are overwhelmed is:
1. Not enough nursing home beds. Why , you may ask? Because working in a nursing home is hard, dangerous work. Hard because you may have upwards of 20-30 patients per aide, and dangerous because of injury due to lifting patients. Nursing homes is an area which very few nurses choose to work. The pay is terrible, you can make more money as a barista at Starbucks. Therefore, major staff shortages in nursing homes.Hospitals cannot discharge patients to a nursing home due to lack of beds. That ties up hospital beds for new admissions.
2. Hospitals treating their staff terribly. High patient to nurse ratios. Increasing job demands that are not possible. Documentation requirements that are out of control. Long hours with no breaks. Violence by patients.One example of hospitals treating staff terribly: During the covid pandemic, if you were a nurse on a covid floor, and contracted covid ( because more than likely you got it from a patient)you had to use your own personal sick time. It was not covered under an L&I injury. Who would want to work in those conditions? The result was early retirement for many nurses, especially Boomer nurses.
Decisions made by nursing home and hospital administrators have created a staffing crisis. There is not enough staff now to take care of patients. Educating more nurses to enter the field is going to be worthless if you burn out nurses within a couple of years of graduation.
Lets not allow government to suppress our freedoms like they did with covid because of decisions made by hospital administrators.
The only way to correct this issue is mandated nurse to patient ratios, and to get rid of the unnecessary documentation requirements. Even then, its going to take years to recover the loss of staff.
Another consequence of Covid idiocy.
It’s like rather than “follow the science” they stopped believing in immunology.
“ They are using Covid lockdowns as an excuse to call for lockdowns every flu season now. Gosh, didn’t see that coming g.”
Lockdowns caused the worse flu season in young people.
They were exposed to the large variety of respiratory viruses we are constantly exposed to that share many epitopes.
Hence, flu is worse without normal immunity induced attenuation.
The Preamble of the Constitution states: In case of an emergency, feel free to disregard this document.
All of which is caused by the response to Covid, further illustrating that lockdown and mask mandate politicians should be getting gang raped in prison right now instead of being in positions of power.
Note the mention of Scarlet Fever.
Wonder how many of those kids were vaxxed.
