House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced that she will be stepping down as the Democratic Party’s leader in the next session of Congress when the House Democrats will be in the minority. Speaker Pelosi’s heir apparent is New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, a persistent election denier. Rep. Jeffries has spent much more time demonizing Donald Trump and the Republican Party than working for the American people as the primary sponsor of responsible legislative proposals. With Rep. Jeffries leading the House Democrats starting next year, we can expect more reckless inflammatory rhetoric and more left-wing progressive proposals to fundamentally transform America. Fortunately, this time the House Democrats will not get their way.
Democrats lashed out at Republican candidates whom they accused of being election deniers during the mid-term elections. But now the Democrats are poised to select an election denier of their own to lead the House Democrat caucus. Rep. Jeffries, a self-described “progressive,” denied the legitimacy of the 2016 presidential election throughout the Trump presidency and still does to this day.
“The more we learn about the 2016 election, the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes,” Rep. Jeffries tweeted from his congressional account back in 2018. “America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE president in the Oval Office.”
“Is Donald Trump?… A. a legitimate President… B. a Russian Asset… C. an organized crime boss… D. a useful idiot,” Rep. Jeffries tweeted in 2019. “The American people deserve to know.”
In 2020, Rep. Jeffries doubled down on his relentless election denial tirades against President Trump, tweeting that “History will never accept you as a legitimate president.”
Nancy Pelosi’s heir apparent remains an election denier to this day. Fox News Digital reported that when asked “if Jeffries still believes Russia stole the 2016 election for Trump, Jeffries’ office indicated that is still the case and told Fox News Digital his ‘observations about the twice-impeached Florida man speak for themselves.’”
Talking about the failed attempts to remove President Trump from office through the artifice of circusy impeachment proceedings, Rep. Jeffries served as one of the House managers during the first Senate impeachment trial of President Trump in 2020. He used the trial to try and nullify Trump’s presidency and to keep him off the ballot in the 2020 presidential election. Jeffries told the senators sitting as triers of Mr. Trump’s political fate that the sitting president of the United States represented “a clear and present danger to our national security and to our credibility around the world.”
Rep. Jeffries has that backwards. Donald Trump enhanced our national security and credibility around the world during his presidency. It is President Biden who represents “a clear and present danger to our national security and to our credibility around the world.”
By the time that Donald Trump left office, North Korea had not launched any intercontinental ballistic missiles for a considerable period of time. ISIS was destroyed. Russian President Vladimir Putin did not invade Ukraine on Trump’s watch.
After Joe Biden took office, North Korea has launched a record number of intercontinental ballistic missiles (8 this year alone). Following the reckless manner in which President Biden as commander-in-chief directed the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan last year, the Taliban-run country has once again become a safe haven for Islamist terrorist groups. And Putin, sizing up Biden as a weak leader, invaded Ukraine last February. The United States is no longer feared or respected on President Biden’s watch.
Rep. Jeffries has not reserved all of his grossly inflammatory rhetoric solely for Donald Trump. Earlier this year, Jeffries accused Republican Governors Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott, the governors of Florida and Texas respectively, of “behaving like human traffickers.” The governors’ horrible offense, in Jeffries eyes, was to arrange for the voluntary busing of some illegal immigrants north to self-proclaimed sanctuary cities.
The fact that these governors were trying to find ways to relieve the incredible burden imposed on their states’ resources by the huge influx of illegal immigrants into the United States on President Biden’s watch eluded Rep. Jeffries. Instead, he took cheap shots by baselessly accusing Governors DeSantis and Abbott of peddling in “hatred and xenophobia, and trying to exploit the fears of the American people…”
Governor DeSantis fired back. “When [President Joe] Biden is flying these people all over the fruited plain in the middle of the night, I didn’t hear a peep out of those people! ” Governor DeSantis said. “I haven’t heard a peep about all the people that have been told by Biden that you can just come in, and they’re going, they’re being abused by the cartels, they’re drowning in the Rio Grande.”
Governor DeSantis was not finished. He added that we “haven’t heard any outrage about all the fentanyl that’s come across the border, that’s killing Americans in record numbers” or “about the criminal aliens that have gotten through and have then victimized people not only in Florida but all throughout the country.”
“The only thing I hear them getting upset about is you have 50 [migrants] that end up in Martha’s Vineyard,” Governor DeSantis concluded. “Then they get really upset!”
Governor DeSantis has provided House Republicans with a model of how to beat back the kind of personal ad hominem attacks that Rep. Jeffries and his left-wing progressive colleagues in the House regularly peddle.
Rep. Jeffries claimed that he would be open to working with House Republicans and their leadership team when they take control of the House of Representatives next January. Jeffries warned, however, that “we will fiercely and vigorously oppose any attempts at Republican overreach and any Republican extremism,” which Democrats define as legitimate oversight investigations of the Biden administration and opposition to the Democrats’ left-wing progressive agenda.
Rep, Jeffries has dismissed the House Republicans as “a full-blown cult.” He has called Kevin McCarthy “a riddle wrapped in an increasingly corrupt, and incompetent enigma.” This election denier and rhetorical bomb-thrower obviously has no intention of working across the aisle to try and find common ground with the Republican majority and the next likely Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy. Instead, we can expect more of the Democrats’ playbook straight out of Saul Alinsky’s book, “Rules for Radicals.”

I’ll call it now: Jeffries is being set up for failure by Pelosi.
So long as Pelosi can still fog a mirror, she’ll still be controlling as much of the Dem party as she can keep her bony fingers on. It’s pretty clear that if Pelosi wanted to groom a successor, one would have been ready by now. Kamala Harris has none of those Pelosi connections, and while Gavin Newsom has those connections, he is a straight, white male, so he can’t survive in a national democratic leadership role if any other even remotely plausible options exist.
The race baiters and socialists have to have their turn and be shown as inept first before machine democrats creep back into leadership.
Hakeem will NOT be speaker which was Pelosi’s job.
The democrats simply hate this nation, it’s founding, and her citizens.
