Last week, former President Donald Trump announced that he is running for a second term as president.
Great! Let the 2024 race begin, democracy proceeds!
Unless. Unless Attorney General Merrick Garland gets his way in a full-scale assault on democracy.
In the style of a banana republic, Garland said this:
Based on recent developments, including Trump’s announcement that he is a candidate for president in the next election, and the current president’s intention to be a candidate in the next election, I have concluded it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel.
Got that? Because Joe Biden says he will run for reelection, and Trump has announced he will challenge Biden in the 2024 election — then Garland has decided to weaponize the Department of Justice and have Trump be prosecuted for having the audacity to challenge Biden in an election.
The excuse used aside from Trump’s announcement is two separate issues — the Mar-a-Lago documents and then the events of Jan. 6.
But let’s be plain: this is exactly an illustration of Stalin’s ruthless state security chief Lavrentiy Beria purportedly saying: “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.”
Merrick Garland is Joe Biden’s Beria.
This is nothing less than an insurrection. A real one. This is about a decidedly powerful attorney general of the United States deliberately — say again deliberately — going rogue and setting out to bring a democratic election to a full stop by investigating a candidate who is a Biden political opponent. And doing it to stop him in an outrageous miscarriage of justice.
The always-telling business of accusing others of what you yourself are about comes into play here.

Garland is commiting insurrection under the color of law.
Garland looked like he had swallowed a bug during that announcement, he looked VERY uncomfortable.
And the RINOs said that Garland was a “moderate”!
Not when they, in a brave act of Kabuki theater, refused to consent his becoming a SCOTUS associate justice.
They must have known which position he could be allowed into to cause the greatest damage.
Merrick Garland is Joe Biden’s Beria. …Will he meet the same fate as Beria?
bkmk
He is in deep kimchi and knows it. He is considered to be a traitor and domestic enemy by those who can do things about him. He is regarded as an insect to be squashed.

Garfinkle...
I still say to begin to right the ship somehow the military court needs to have a roll in prosecuting these pukes in high places in government if this is possible at all
I don’t think a special counsel would have legal standing to block testimony before a Congressional committee, if that is what Garland is aiming for. A special prosecutor might have, but that law no longer exists.
The Special Prosecutor will not be funded, so Merrick Beria can huff and puff, but Trump’s house will not blow down.
Bttt.

American Spectator is AGAIN completely correct, insightful and prescient.
Or, should I say: STILL.
And still out of sync with the mainstream GOP...the dirty rotten toilet scum masquerading as conservatives.
Developments = Russia Russia Russia
Garland is and has been for years a little vindictive shit and extremely biased leftist. He should have been charged before the Bar Association (ABA and DC Bar Assoc) with unprofessional conduct, malfeasance of office and dereliction of duty (no nationwide investigations of the violence of Antifa, BLM, and the Red/Black Blocs).
He represents the “worst” of the legal profession. No wonder Shakespeare said “But first we kill all the lawyers”.
Old William was on to something, wasn’t he?
