Two of the four slain University of Idaho students called a mystery man 10 times shortly before their murder, according to the sister of one of the victims.
Kaylee Goncalves made the calls beginning at around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 13, her sister Alivea told Inside Edition Friday.
“Kaylee calls [the man] six times between 2:26 a.m. and 2:44 a.m…. then Kaylee makes a final call to him at 2:52 a.m.,” Alivea said.
Roommate Madison Mogen called the same mystery man three times, from 2:44 to 2:52, Alivea said.
The Post redacted the name of the man as recited to the outlet, as he had not been named as a suspect by law enforcement authorities.

I too have a gut suspicion it was some imported diversity. Colleges trip over themselves to import anyone not white or Oriental (I despise the term “Asian”). Especially since that part of Idaho is 99% white. (A few Natives and that’s about it.)
No witnesses?
You'll have to wait to find that out. Btw, they mentioned one of the victims was being stalked.
Still waiting on tests and blood samples and crime scene evidence processing.
It’s been reported that Kalee and Jack had been together for 6 years. Kaylee was graduated this semester and moving to TEXAS for a tech job.
What about Jack? We don’t know much about him yet. Did Kaylee end the relationship before leaving for Texas permanently? Just a question I would wonder about since they called him so many times tight up to the window of death (3-4am). It’s strange IMO
Yuppers
A nasty murder and everybody’s
a Sherlock Holmes!

RIP Kids
You messed around and found out.
It wouldn’t take an essay if you actually know anything about it. One or two sentences.
Sounds like calls to the dopeman.
These kids all looked pretty healthy, so I’d be surprised if they were habitual drug users of anything stronger than marijuana. I’m sure autopsies would have revealed the presence of drugs, and police would have noticed any drug paraphernalia or residue. But it’s possible that they did find evidence of drug use and are keeping that quiet for the time being.
Body decomp.
We are located midway between their two hometowns, Coeur d’Alene and Rathdrum.
Somebody trying to score some dope?
I don’t know about them, but I’d bet the rent they have a suspect ID and it’s only a matter of time until the suspect is arrested.
Btw, I’ve never seen the food truck images/video.
Also, I’d guess the suspect was known by at least one of the victims.
I’m guessing drugs had little to do with it.
“Alivia Goncalves isn’t waiting for police to find the person responsible for killing her sister, Kaylee Goncalves, and her sister’s friends Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle.
“We are not getting any answers and we are not going to settle for that,” she says.
Alivia found the potentially crucial video of her sister and Mogen at a food truck just hours before they were murdered. She also tracked down their Uber driver.
“I found neighbors’ ring camera footage so that I could verify that the Uber driver took them home,” she tells Inside Edition.
She’s also raising questions about why her sister called a young man named Jack multiple times the night she was slain.
“At 2:26 a.m. Kaylee starts to call Jack. Kaylee calls Jack six times between 2:26 a.m. to 2:44 a.m., from 2:44 to 2:52 Maddie calls Jack three times, then Kaylee makes a final call to him at 2:52 a.m. And they are both never heard from again,” she says.”
regular folks doing the work that the police refuse to do for themselves ...
So, he's not really a mystery man at all.
Are we looking at a corollary to Coulter's Law?

Wow I’m sorry I’ve been impatient with you this must be unsettling for you too
NP. Just a bit unsettling. Even worse, Mom and Dad went to the U of I in the mid 40s and were married in Moscow in 1947
It is polite and sincere contrite comments like these here on FR ( and Humblegunner’s), that sustain my faith in humanity and cement my love of FR. Thank you all who post here.
Apple watch?
There might be a simple explanation: Maybe Kaylee’s boyfriend Jack was supposed to come over and meet Kaylee at the house. When he didn’t show up, Kaylee and her best friend started calling him.
