It's not "talking points". It's just based on my personal interactions with ordinary people. If you haven't experienced that, fine.

But with the proliferation of early and mail-in voting, we have to move beyond the numbers we got in 2016 and 2020. And I've just run into a lot of folks who just have a visceral dislike of Trump.

What guy out there are you certain could get over 80 million
votes?

Trump got the highest vote count we’ve ever had.

You are ignoring reality to tell me things that only work if you do.

I’m not convinced by a long shot De Santis gets 80 million.

I wouldn’t say unequivocally that he couldn’t, but I wouldn’t
deny that Trump could.

A lot of people think the Left pulled of a coup.

They aren’t happy about it and can’t wait to set it straight.

Trump’s 24/7/365 reality show drama alienates pretty much everybody but the hardcore MAGA. So 80% or so of the electorate. They don’t want to hear the noise.

A long march bloody primary followed by a cash strapped general election is not a recipe for victory. That’s what Trump is facing now and why he is trying to take out the primary competition ASAP.

I believe he will run a lot smarter between now and 2024, and I believe he will win! BIGLY!

well, if other Republicans believe that Trump can't win, they really have no alternative other than to run against him and hope whatever wounds exist heal by the general election. But I don't think you can or should just hand a nomination to someone solely because you're worried they'll throw a fit if they lose.

Maybe the better questions are:

Who is paying him?
How much is he getting paid?
What is he promised?

We all know he’s not been good at judging the people he’s hired.
