While the Republican Party will vote on a nominee for House Speaker on Tuesday for the projected GOP-led Congress next year, some establishment Republicans are considering working with House Democrats to select a Speaker.

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), the favored candidate to win the party’s nomination for Speaker, will face a challenge from at least one of his colleagues during Tuesday’s vote.

Imagine the promises being made by McCarthy to try to get Dem votes for his speakership. It will be Paul Ryan all over again.

How is this possible?

It is a uni-party after all.

Lee Zelden for Speaker!

The letter after the name means jack anymore.

The only reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.

A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.

These collaborators are Deep State.

Like I have said for several years...the Republicans in DC are totally tone deaf and they could give a rat’s a** what we the voters want. They will go their own way and screw us peons out here working our butts off in order to pay the taxes these tone deaf idiots in DC impose.

If the Republicans sell out like this, they are done and they know it. They will be comitting suicide. The Rats will continue to own DC, but will have the convenience of being able to blame every single problem on that “damn GOP controlled House” no matter what their role is in leadership decisions.

The media hyenas and other glorified dogshit that spew nonsense on TV will have a field day and the Rs will pull a George W Bush and do NOTHING to combat the onslaught and preach “compassionate conservative” garbage.

All in all, doing a power share like this will all but kill us ... if the GOP wants to act like liberals, then voters, assisted by fraud absolutely NOBODY wants to address (and it is fraud ... it is there ... it is real ... feel free to deny it, but it’s killing us), will glady vote for the liberal since they’ll prefer the real thing vs. some Republican pansy pretending to be one thinking that the media will like them.

The GOP is free to do whatever they want ... doing this, however, WILL be the end ... I am not a doomer ... but a decision like this WILL have disastrous consequences. Frankly, I have no desire to work with liberals ... they need to be BEATEN ... their ideology does nothing but make people miserable at best and murders people by the millions at worst. That ideology needs to END, and nobody in power has demonstrated any desire to defeat liberalism outside of Trump and a few others. Why the GOP doesn’t back them is beyond me (well, I know why, but I think everyone reading this knows what I mean).

They didn't even wait for the sting of last week's election losses fade before proving to their voters why they should have lost last week.

Amazingly tone deaf for our supposed leaders.

Remember that eight out of the ten Republicans who voted to impeach Trump either retired or were defeated in the primaries. Even Marjorie Taylor Greene said that voting against McCarthy would not be a good idea at this time. For a Republican to defect will lead to a high likelihood of an early retirement.

I'd prefer they be honest and simply all go with (U) for Uniparty for the lifelong elected officials.

This was inevitable.

And Republicans crossing the aisle to support Democrat priorities like the Green New Deal and raising the debt ceiling is also inevitable.

In any situation where the majority is narrowly Republican, the Democrats have the functional majority on anything they really need it for.

Because they seem to care more about what the media says than their base.

Because the democrats always let the GOP have input on their selection of speaker. Right?

They do this to us every damn time? When the GOP takes control of the House or Senate, the calls to “work across the aisle” start immediately. It never works that way when it is the reverse.

This is crazy. When was the last time Democrats worked with Republicans to choose their speaker? I suspect never.

The uniparty is taking off its cloak and shutting its cuspids down into us like a long-planned, military pincher strategy.
