Stand up people. For Pete’s sake, burn this down and rebuild. Leave a few walls and those walls will fail. Burn it down and start over.

this I agree with, the Trump vs DeSantis issue will solve itself, getting rid of leadership can be done now and not wait for another election debacle.

McCarthy and McConnell are the failures in this mid-term. Had their message resounded with the voters, this would have been a landslide.

But, as usual, the GOP leadership chose to be wishy-washy about the very disaster of the last two years. This should have been a no-brainer. IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID!
Arguing over Trump and LETTING the Dims and media make the mid-terms about Trump doomed all of us.

Ronna (Romney) McDaniel, Rick Scott, and Linseed Graham are the most to blame.

Burn it to the ground. Failure again, find and build foundation up. Never, ever give $ to GOP. ONLY to candidates. Bankrupt them, choke them out

It’s not bickering. There are major and fundamental differences between Trump and DeSantis.

Yes the leadership sucks.

But to argue that this election and the one in 2020 was the result of anything but outright fraud and you’re just as bad as McCarthy and McConnell.

Florida took in the fraud, Arizona didn’t. Results speak for themselves.

You can get rid of all of them. And in I 1000000% believe we should. But they better be replaced with some legit folks. Not country club, Frat boy Republicans. That hasn’t and isn’t going to work anymore.

If the new Republican isn’t ready to get into an alley fight, they ain’t worth it.

MTG backing McCarthy is odd, don’t you think?

If there is, can somone on here, explain how mace defeated Arrington(?)?

It’s time to throw the GOP onto the scrap heap of history. For myself, I will no longer support that gaggle of gutless wonders for any office.

How can you have a party where the leadership (and i use that term loosely) hates the base? Tea Party, MAGA, whatever you want to call us, are done with those who continually sell us down the Socialist River.
Old America is hanging on by a thread.

I’m not so sure that they actually ‘failed’. It depends upon what they were trying to do. I’d say they were pretty successful in screwing the whole thing up...

It's important to note that the House and Senate leadership selection process is very different.

1. The Speaker of the House is elected by the entire House, not just the majority party.

2. There is no real election for the official "Senate leader." The Vice President of the U.S. is the President of the Senate, but from a formal standpoint that role is really just limited to casting tiebreaking votes.

3. The Senate majority and minority leaders are elected by their respective party members in the Senate. The majority leader functions as the de facto Senate leader.

What this means is: The easiest person to replace in a fouled-up party environment is the Senate minority leader. The GOP has no latitude in the vote for House Speaker (lose a couple of Republicans and you can end up with a DEMOCRATIC House Speaker even if the Republicans are the majority party), and doesn't even play a role in the vote for Senate majority leader.

As I see it, this means Mitch McConnell should be tossed out on his ass.

They are not failed, that’s the issue. They won’t go away. They’re there fraudulently wiring for the left. McConnell has a 7% approval rating among gop. He doesn’t care. What’s his approval rating among Dems and anti trumpets? Schumer loves him

He is not failed.

I love DeSantis, but we need to be clear. He won big in Florida because cheating is difficult in Florida.

Clean up the elections and the “red wave” will take care of itself.

Totally agree. Neither one of them was running for national office or had even announced, DeSantis probably won’t run although Trump obviously will...and it doesn’t matter anyway.

We let this silly issue - which was kind of last minute - put the nail in the coffin for undecided voters, independents, etc.

Legalized cheating by election office engineering was what won it for the Dems, but if we had had just a few thousand more votes in some close races, we could have done it.

But the squabbling turned off a lot of people. And in any case, most of them had no idea of the central policy positions of our poorly run party which can’t even get off its backside to get funding for our candidates.

I saw a comparative chart of the difference between Dem spending and GOP spending. Stunning.

We need new management.

I want what I used to think were reasonably intelligent people to stop and be quiet long enough and analyze this composed by the media Trump/DeSantis reporting.

Florida has been a critical plus to Republicans certainly for President elect and then President Trump since 2016.

Just a few days ago we were shown the absolute, undeniable proof and truth about voter I.D., drop boxes, tightened voting regulations and practices, drop boxes and everything else that we "election deniers" are accused of.

WHO did all of this ?
Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis took every element of the reported problems with the 2020 election(s) and actually made those suggested corrections and LO! ..... A Conservative state, reported completely within hours of poll closing . . . . IN SPITE OF the so called disenfranchised "voters".

Why, you should ask yourself . . . . would President Trump, who may announce his candidacy for 2024 want to screw such a secure vote from his adopted home state ?
