The next most celebrated and powerful people in Washington will be the group of douchebag Republican reps who refuse to go along with the program.

Ben & Jerry's will name an ice cream after them and they'll get cameos on SNL.

They’ve been “projecting” a House win since election night. This is nothing new

The actual NBC estimate that this article relies upon states +/- 4 seats

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2022-elections/house-results

So the control of the House is still in the balance.

Now let’s see if gutless Republicans offer to share power with the Demon-rats, like they usually do when they have a slim majority.

Serious question to all those on Free Republic, and there are many, who believe that Biden won fair and square (or at least that any election fraud that occurred was not large enough to effect the outcome). Do you believe foul play occurred during the mid-terms or do you believe they were fair and accurate?

I don’t envy McCarthy his job. He has to keep a lot of mutually hostile factions in line and cannot afford a single defection on any important vote.

At 219 I wonder if 2+ Liz Cheneys still lurking on the Hill will come out of the closet to reveal their true allegiances when its time for that body to decide whether to re-elect Nancy as Speaker or not. This will also be the moment where every Dem who promised to not vote for Pelosi will be given their ultimate test. The real 2022 Election battle has only begun. This reminds me of when “outgoing” California Assembly Speaker Willy Brown and his other 38 Democratic colleagues met on opening day after the 1994 Election with the 41 Republican colleagues to elect a Speaker and California would finally have its Assembly free of the Democrats’ 24 years of rule. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1995/01/25/california-speaker-brown-reelected/996a87c7-d51b-4eb1-9bc9-45db05873f8c/

This Willy Brown of San Francisco was an important mentor to both Speaker Pelosi and Vice President Harris in the early days of their careers in San Francisco. You can be certain that when Speaker Pelosi sees that her Party is coming in as the Minority 216-219 that she’ll remember her mentor Willy Brown.

A bit of reality check here. If we didn’t get caught up with the hysteria of an expected red tsunami, the senate landscape was extremely difficult and it was expected that we would lose seats.

The senate elections we seem to be most disappointed about are in blue States which would have been unlikely pick ups.

Regarding the house we clearly underperformed, however it is true that the GOP picked up seats last time in an election where we were expected to lose seats. Therefore, there was less Left over to be accomplished.

Still we should have taken the house by more than this but it is absolutely essential that we did take it considering the senate remained in Democrat hands.

The might as well have made it 218-217. I guess they were feeling generous.

What do we really have, throw in some ass kissing RINOS, some so called “can’t we be bipartisan etc.? Not a big victory, won’t stonewall the RATS and the Biden crime family.

A more Conservative House, and out of the inside trader’s control.

Still not tired of winning.

Remember John Behner. “I’ve got one half of one third of the government. What can I do?”

His mentee McCarthy poised to tread his path now.

At least with the House under GOP control, there will be a check on the lunacy about to come out of the Senate.

That just made me laugh out loud. Anyone who believes this is kidding themselves. Milquetoast McCarthy will fold quicker than a cheap suit at the first opportunity.

McCarthy. McConnel. McDaniel. It's time for new McLeadership.

Regardless of which party takes a “ceremonial” majority lead in the house, there are way more traitors in the gop which will swing left and the legislation that will be passed ( in a bi-partisan vote) will be enough to take this country over the edge. Yet by rigging this election in the house just enough to give the gop ceremonial claim to leadership, the gop will also be given 100% blame for destroying this country.

Great job rinos!

Nancy Pelosi needs to be the first item of business for the new Congress. I want to see an investigation and hearings into her insider trading.

Well, now all we have to do is worry about how many RINOs will jump over and vote with the commies.
