In its latest projection, far-left NBC News says the Republican party will narrowly win the House of Representatives by a narrower than narrow 219 to 216 margin.
If this projection holds, that will bring about a big sigh of relief and one of the rare bright spots in an otherwise disappointing midterm result for the GOP.
What was supposed to be a GOP wave — one I was sure of — turned out to be anything but.
When it was all over, Democrats actually increased their hold on the all-important U.S. Senate by one seat. Democrats could increase it further if current Democrat U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock wins Georgia’s December runoff against Republican Herschel Walker. Last week, Warnock did beat Walker by nearly a full point. Because no one topped 50 percent in that race, the state requires a runoff.
A nightmare scenario would give Democrats 52 U.S. Senate seats and control of the House of Representatives. If Democrats win 52 Senate seats, Democrats will not need U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) to pass legislation. That would almost certainly mean the end of the filibuster that both Manchin and Sinema refuse to kill.
Without the filibuster, the Senate could pass whatever insanity it chose — including expanding the Supreme Court, socialized medicine, and heaven knows what all — and a Democrat-led House would rubber stamp it, all of it, everything.
At least with the House under GOP control, there will be a check on the lunacy about to come out of the Senate.
Keep in mind that NBC already blew one House projection. Three days ago, NBC predicted the Republican party would win the House with a much safer margin of 222 to 212 seats.
So.

They don’t have the votes to even do investigations. The Democrats will just pull two left wing Republicans over and quash them. The Democrats, united, have actual functional control on anything they really want it on.
“Hopefully, but a majority is a majority - let the investigations and impeachment begin.”
I will believe it when I see it.... after a few select recounts.
P
The Rs will include a number of newly-elected Representatives from purple districts.
Can someone please tell me where the house count is now? I do out on the net and it’s just a mish mash of info. It appears the count has frozen 203 Dems / 212 Rep.
Any credible updates?
The next congress will get rid of the electoral college, and then, it will be all U.S. cities who will determine all future presidents. The GOP will never win the presidency ever again, and abolishing the electoral college as well as Leftist Cheating will make sure of it.
I would like Jim Jordan to be Speaker. Deep in my heart I would like Trump to be nominated just to see heads explode.
Depends on who is speaker. Kevin will do nothing of consequence but if the rats find a way using a couple of recounts to flip this back it will be an absolute nightmare. The rats are going to have 52 Senate seats bank it.
Waste of time impeaching Biden. But I believe you can impeach members of his Cabinet. Let’s start with Mayorkas and Garland.
Liars...
The Freedom Caucus needs to be stubborn SOB’s where the GOP leadership is concerned. Block vote until you get real change in the leadership. Right now Jim Jordan is the only part of leadership that is worth a bucket of goat snot.
Go after the FBI.
How can they say that in the middle of election fortnight?
Ben & Jerry's will name an ice cream after them and they'll get cameos on SNL.
They’ve been “projecting” a House win since election night. This is nothing new

So the control of the House is still in the balance.
Now let’s see if gutless Republicans offer to share power with the Demon-rats, like they usually do when they have a slim majority.
Not really, the Speaker will not be able to prevent left wing Republicans from “crossing the aisle” to vote with their “friends” in a “bipartisan” vote to do “the right thing.”
If the Speaker pushes on them too hard, they can just flip sides, or go independent and caucus with their “friends.” The Democrats are united for power. The Republicans are split between a few leftists, a mushy middle and a solid right wing. It will be child’s play for the Democrats to pick off the votes they need, as long as they don’t overdo it.
