I still say President Trump was the best president in my lifetime, but his second term was stolen from him by the GOPe RINOS working with the thieving democrats.

I absolutely love the job DeSantis is doing for Florida, and would hate to see Florida lose him. He should stay right where he is, and continue planning for '28. He should not make an enemy of Trump. Trump chewed up 16 of the "best" the GOP had to offer in the '16 race, and he will chew up all that will run against him this time. It will be ugly.
We already have rumors flying that Ryan, McConnell, McCarthy, McRomney, GOPe etc are backing DeSantis for a run against Trump. If this is true, and if DeSantis were to win, with GOPe RINO backing, then DeSantis would be beholden to the deep state. And this would be no good for any of us. But as I say, if this is the way it has to be, let the best man win!

Each state runs their own election, I guess it depends on what the Florida state laws say. I would think that, if state law prohibited it, they wouldn’t have donated.

The first instance when I was disappointed was the extremely cringe inducing "On the 8th day" ad. It was a failed attempt to imitate Trump who does do some trash talking too, but does not go down that road of the "8th day" ad. If DeSantis does not have better people to do his ads, he is not going far in a primary. He did not even need to do such an ad. His actions in Florida speak for themselves.
Secondly, I did not like what I heard about him collaborating with the likes of Paul Ryan/Murdochs/McConnell/RINOcrats. He will not get my vote if he is under their control. I don't care if he is the lesser-of-two evils. It will be just the same as having a democrat in power. I am not playing that game.
I don’t think the nomination should be won without a fight.
That said...I still support Trump.
A fight will bring the issues to run on.
