Trump calls out Youngkin amid 2024 chatter
The Hill ^ | 11/11/22 9:30 AM ET | BY CHLOE FOLMAR -

Posted on 11/11/2022 11:42:56 AM PST by RandFan

Former President Trump on Friday took aim at Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) amid rumors that the businessman could run for president in 2024.

“I Endorsed him, did a very big Trump Rally for him telephonically, got MAGA to Vote for him – or he couldn’t have come close to winning,” wrote Trump on his Truth Social account.

Trump has been hinting at announcing another bid for the White House as early as next week.

Trump also made a comment about Youngkin’s name sounding “Chinese” as he attributed the governor’s 2021 election win to his support.

“Young Kin (now that’s an interesting take. Sounds Chinese, doesn’t it?) in Virginia couldn’t have won without me,” said the former president.

The post by Trump comes a day after Youngkin’s Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears (R) said that she “couldn’t” support Trump if he made a third bid for the Oval Office in 2024.

“I could not support him. I just couldn’t,” said Sears, adding that voters are saying “enough is enough” in relation to Trump through their midterm votes.

Trump is in primary mode? But he’s in primary mode against candidates who aren’t even running. What’s up with that?

Kenneth C Griffin - neverTrumper RINO globalist.
Club for (china) Growth - free trade globalists.

Robert T Bigelow is an eccentric billionaire. Have no idea what his politics are.

$180 million for an easy win governor's race? Come now.

Second largest expenditure was $6.3 million to Blitz Canvassing LLC in Colorado. https://www.transparencyusa.org/fl/candidate/ron-desantis-can/payees

They don't mention having done any work in FL. https://blitzcanvassing.com/

Many other expenditures for marketing, analysts etc. Tell me he's not running in 2024.

Youngkin is said to be the establishment's second choice after DeSantis.

Kind of late to try to educate a 76 year old.

And he is doing that right now in real time.
Trump is aggressively destroying his own brand.
Trump has been ‘at war’ with Dems and RINOS since 2015 when he declared his intent to campaign for the nomination.
That’s 7 long years of butting heads and tolerating unending, over the top BS from his opponents. I think Trump has some kind of Combat Fatigue.

Funny how many jackasses around here complain about him now, but ignored him or were silent when he did the exact same things in 2016.

He’s getting ahead of any possible opposition. SOP for him.

I think these things don’t matter much. If there is high inflation and high gas prices, Trump will win.

There was never any alternative anyway. Someone else from the GOP, like McCain and Romney, would be indistinguishable from a Democrat, in goals or at least results.

That schtick was already wearing thin among those I know in RL who supported him and voted for him twice, but these last few days at attacking DeSantis and Youngkin seem to be the last straw. It’s not just women and independents he’s alienating with these antics, it’s also men who were once firm supporters. Very sad to see him doing this.

“As the media driven soap opera turns, the DC Junta plies its treachery unchallenged.”

Well, Trump is giving them plenty of ammo.

I loathe McConnell. McConnell being a self-centered jerk doesn’t mean Trump is building support by his behavior right now.

He’s not only alienating voters, but he’s alienating the kind of sharp people he’d need to staff a second Administration. Who the hell would want to work for a guy who might turn on you publicly in a heartbeat if you happen to get on his bad side? Public humiliation, disparaging nicknames, etc. Sharp, successful people who have other options are going to take a look at that and decide it just isn’t worth it

Republicans have to line up in support of Trump.

Trump is out. DeSantis and Youngkin are the new Republican stars.

> “Tell us exactly what you expected DeSantis to do.”

Who’s this “us” BS and who do you think you are ordering people about?

To answer your lame response, DeSuckface should do the same like Elise did this morning.

Why can’t you see this? Because DeScamster makes your leg tingle and President Trump doesn’t.

DeStumped could have ended the state media divide and conquer ploy IN FIVE MINUTES by coming out as follows:

“President Trump, thank you for your endorsement! I back you 1000 percent! Together we can retire the Fake news media and consign them to the ash heap of history!”

But DeSh*tforbrains didn’t do any such thing. Because he’s not on-board the Trump Train. Simple as that.

Trump is the Howard Stern of politics. At first, he was edgy and refreshing. Now he is just a boorish and tiresome narcissist.

Agree. Trump had his day in the sun. He needs to take his childish behavior elsewhere.

Most people loved seeing him knock down the politicians in the 2016 primary debates. It was must watch TV. We also got to see the nice side of him when the order of candidates walking out got screwed up and he stayed back with Dr Carson in a supportive way.

DeSantis needs to stay in FL and let his kids grow up a little bit before he goes to the viper pit of DC.

Trump has had too many years on Imus and Stern to know what’s humorous and what isn’t. He knows exactly what he means and says it. I cannot argue with the policies he instituted. They were definitely in America’s intetest but he is a despicable human being. I voted for him, and would again, in the same manner Dems voted for Bubba. They knew he was a miserable SOB but they loved his policies. But if DeSantis puts forward policies similar to Trump he will have my vote.

More bullsh*t. This was trumps idea of casual banter, not an “attack”.

I do wish he’d be more careful.

Point blank.

I am not alone.
