President Joe Biden celebrated Veterans Day on Friday by falsely praising his Climate Envoy John Kerry as one of the most decorated men to fight for America.
“I want to thank one proud American veteran, a lifelong public servant, a dear friend, and literally one of the most decorated men to fight, Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry,” Biden said.
The president spoke about veterans and John Kerry during his speech at the climate summit in Egypt.
Kerry, who served in Vietnam, was awarded a Bronze Star, a Silver Star, and three Purple Hearts, but is not even on the list of the top 50 most decorated veterans.
Kerry’s service medals were the subject of a controversy in 2004 when he ran for president against George W. Bush.

Three Purple Hearts and not one day in sick bay? Bob Dole was severely crippled by enemy fire and got one. Daniel Inouye lost an arm, got one. Many other veterans who sacrificed likewise or worse, got one. How the hell does Kerry get three?

Firstly, he isn’t remotely a highly decorated veteran.
Secondly, his decorations (1 SS, 1 BS, 3 PH) were controversial, since Kerry, as the lieutenant (the CO for the boat), he was responsible for the after action reports. Many of his swift boat comrades testified that he embellished (”lied” for those out in Rio Linda) the reports for which he put in the recommendations for himself.
Let’s not forget John Kerry through his fellow servicemen under the bus as part of his political aspirations. Some of us aren’t going to forget that.

Biden received five draft deferments on account of his studies, and after a physical exam in 1968, was disqualified from military service except in the event of a national emergency because of having asthma as a teenager. He never served in the military.

Also, One of my uncles earned his Purple Heart by being wounded at Guadalcanal. He was a lot braver that John effing Kerry!
